This is how the Indonesian people and government have treated Rohingya refugees

He was Irish. Not Algerian

"The man, originally from Algeria, previously faced deportation proceedings but eventually received Irish citizenship a decade ago."

So yes...Irish now but should have been revoked before and definitely originally an immigrant.

Australia also sends refugees to be settled in country towns and odd places. As for the Irish-Algerian terrorist. When an immigrant does something bad they are highlighted as being from Algeria, Lebanon or wherever. If they win on the international stage at tennis, ping pong, golf et al they are definitely Australian even if they have a name like Muhammed Petrotovsky.

I'm eagerly waiting for some examples of islamic immigrants becoming international golf champions. Or ping pong champions. Or tennis champions for that matter.

No WASP/antisemitic content, not worth @Bob time

Well i just quickly read it and Bob is correct. Its not worth anyones time.

To me its clear: Expat is temporary, work related and does not involve getting citizenship and defintiely does not involve recieving benefits from the host country

It is not, that is right what I said. Expats are frlom the Global North, while immigrants are not,. Expats are receiving benefits from the host country, in some cases as well.

This is actually a very good point. Eligibility to receive financial benefits such as welfare makes one an immigrant, along with no plan to move back home. Those whose stay is expected to be limited for a certain time period, and not eligible to receive benefits, would be an expat.
I'm starting to worry I'm an immigrant not an expat:cautious:
Well perhaps I started here as an expat but then at some point became an immigrant.

I.e if you work in Indonesia, you are in obligation to pay social security. If you finish your term, you have right to recoup the money paid-kind of benefit.

Yes French notoriously racists will spit on a black man unless he is lifting the world cup or champions league in which case they just boo
They all hate Zidane and Mbappe and Henry even when representing "France"
Even Balotelli a very popular black man who plays for Italy is always booed at football games
Italians also racists it seems

In France the problems is with the 3rd generation immigrants from our ex North / Central African colonies.
The 1st generation came to work (or to flee like after the Algeria independance war), they settled in pretty well.
Their kids, the 2nd generation for most of them integrated well, went to the school "de la République" and most found a job.
The 3rd generation arrived at the wrong time, unemployment, failure to integrate in France, but being foreigner in their grandparents country, being ostrazied for employment and in daily life, many ended up hating "La République".
A perfect breeding ground for the Islamist recruiters, financed by some MEA countries. Or for drug importers looking for foot soldiers.
France's successive governments being completely blind and at lost how to react except by harsh police repression.
Oh, and you can't kick them out as they are French, and not even bi-national anymore. They need a visa to visit their grandparents country !
Even if they kill somebody you can't take away their nationality, as they have only one, and the rules don't allow to make somebody stateless.

Like many Indonesian articles, it lacked details, no details were given out or, like, many plans, no details have been devised yet. While 1,000 hectare isn't much to aid helping the food availability, I guess it's a start although since election time, maybe all we hear about it.
Maybe it's the 1.000 hectares near Gresik (Jatim) that they planted with mango trees?

To put the above 1.000 hectares in a bit of a perspective... Indonesia will probably import around 2.3 million tonnes of rice this year. To be able to become self-sufficient they will need an additional 128.000 hectares of good-quality sawah.

In the meantime, you can watch them play football. Quite a few North African expats are good players.

How about soccer or basketball? Then again, why care what religion an athlete is?

It's hindsight but many thousand hectares of prime sawah are now under cement and asphalt in Jabodetabek and Jateng.

Why is anyone that doesn't 100% agree with your viewpoint antismemtic? It's rather weak and you use it for everything. Seriously, why is that?
That is a compliment, for many. Do you think it is offensive?
