This is how the Indonesian people and government have treated Rohingya refugees

Yeah - this happened in Dublin (Ireland) last night. A naturalized Algerian immigrant stabbed a group of kids and their teacher outside their school and anti-immigrant protestors rioted.
We have huge issues in Ireland with housing - there is not enough and each year we have more people arriving and no houses for them to live in. We also took in 75,000+ Ukrainians which has unfortunately made a tight housing market into a housing crisis.
Its fodder for the far right wingers - and they are gathering a lot of support in poorer parts of Irish society as a result. Failed by the centre ground politicians.
Exactly the same situation in The Netherlands ..

Indonesia likes Palestine as a concept, but it would be very interesting indeed to see how they would handle a million Palestinian refugees turning up. I bet they would show zero hospitality.

Not even close. Unlike trump and todays maga GOP, I believe there can be a plan whereas, they just want to shut it all down, ban anyone without white skin, target not only illegal aliens but legal ones to except for some white foreigners.
Not quite sure I understand what you are saying here. Are you advocating a policy of banning, "...anyone without white skin, target not only illegal aliens but legal ones to except for some white foreigners."? Or are you attributing that to a particular party or group? If this is your own suggestion it would seem an odd recommendation for a white skinned person living in a country of 273 million brown skinned people.

Sure, only pale Vikings would be allowed.

One year more of Biden government and you will welcome the other guy as a saviour.

For the truth about benefits available search for Asylum Support UK.

I did and google just showed up with a bunch of those charities like care for calais which we are actively making the immigration problem much worse.

What point were you trying to make?

That would be the maga way, not mine.

It is a sad state of affairs indeed. It would be interesting to explore why Indonesia seems to inhospitable towards these refugees. Maybe they fear that if they let in 'just a couple of thousand', hundreds of thousands of Rohingya will come and seek asylum here (there are currently 1.2 million displaced Rohingya).

You do realize that a 'liberated Palestine' will be the best way to prevent any asylum seeking Palestinians on your doorstep? So, in a way it makes sense.
Indonesian "hospitality" is well known, so no Rohinya would ask shelter here if not being in a grave danger.

Indonesia is a chair of ASEAN, and Rohinyas are from Myanmar. Haven't seen much from the government doing anything to address the "root causes".

So one Algerian stabbed somebody and the Irish burned the asylum hotel. Imagine if the Algerians slaughtered 1.000+ Irish.

Why is that? While I am not a democrat fan being a life long republican until trump, I will admit that Biden has done quite well for the US over all. As for Immigration, he is attempting sone things and while most have somewhat failed, he has not been out there making up stories about caravans to try and scare people. There have been more arrest at the boarder and more drugs caught, than the trump administration. More entered the US illegally during the trump administration than the biden administration. As for the maga gop or the gop in general, they bitch, they try to scare people, they attack the administration, they proclaim things need to be fixed. Of course like they normally do, when asked for solutions, they offer nothing. They have no solutions. This isn't just a democrat problem, it is a national problem and last time I checked the GOP part if the government was supposed to be part of the legislation to get things fixed. No, they are too busy enriching themselves while trying to derail the other party. Too busy propping up a criminally charged guy who supports dictators and will destroy democracy. My only hope for trump is a hero shows up and puts a nation out of it's misery. Then tax payers won't have to pay for his incarceration.

No offense, but you achieved to amalgamate TDS, islamophobia and antisemitism in one person.

Looks like you don't like the 45.

Do you see any likely heroes on the horizon

And now having won by such a margin one wonders if Wilders will look to enact legislation to try and push out many who are already living there illegals or perhaps even recently processed migrants.

Apart from African or Middle Eastern people there is always a number of people from other parts of Europe marrying a Dutch partner and for one reason or another wanting to live in the Netherlands.

If the Netherlands remains part of the EU and a member of the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR), best of luck with that. Instead of forcibly removing those who are already residing there without legal status, or possibly even newly processed migrants, they could be forced to hand in more money. :p:p:p

The present-day European Union (EU) differs significantly from its predecessors, the European Economic Community (EEC), which primarily aimed to establish a common market and foster economic cooperation. In contrast to the EU, perceived by some as an institution seeking to assert dominance and compromise the sovereignty of individual nations. ASEAN is favoured by its member countries, this is because ASEAN solely concentrates on economic matters and the prosperity of the region, without any intention to seize power from individual nations.

Well Bali was an independent country too. Maybe Aceh is a better example. Both with a strong national identity but still just a province or region like Scotland.
Scotland=sovereign nation that willingly entered in union with England

Bali, Aceh-Dutch colony, previously defeated by Dutch army without sovereiginty. Bali was never one kingdom btw.

Are you @Helpful Herbert US citizen?

Google "asylum support UK" takes me straight to the UK government website which clearly establishes that Pantaiema overstates the level of support available.

The support mentioned on the UK asylum support page (https://www.gov.uk/asylum-support) is applicable when an individual's asylum application is still being considered.

However, once they are granted permanent residency and have settled, they possess the same rights as any other resident. This includes individuals who have actively contributed to the taxation system throughout their working life, as well as those whose parents have made contributions. Others who have not made such contributions are also entitled to the same rights once granted permanent residency.
The limit indicated in post #18 represents the possibility one could potentially receive through the benefit system, even without ever contributing to the system. This money comes from the tax from hard-working individuals working throughout their working life.

I am not blaming those who are trying to exploit the systems I am blaming the system created by the politicians. Most sensible people will be doing that when giving the chance.

Remember that many of these people are paying the smugglers who assist them in crossing the channels. The vast majority of these people have resided in a few secure European countries for an extended period. According to EU regulations, individuals seeking genuine refuge are required to seek asylum in the first safe country they reach.

I'm not a Trump fan but I certainly don't see it that way nor do my Texas friends who are actually affected daily by the border policy and control. If drugs are getting caught at the border, why is the US facing such a fentanyl problem that has grown tremendously the past couple of years? Very well documented that most of it is entering from the souther border after arriving there from China. The overall econmy numbers certianly don't show Biden doing "quite well" either. It may be your opinon that Biden is doing a fine job but with his approval ratings, it doesn't look like many people agree with you.

Sounds like the people who move to Florida and complain about the wind

Boohoo I live in a border town with another country and sometimes people jump the fence

Let me tell you, none of them are staying in Texas!
They all want to get out of there asap. And they all want to work and do the jobs Americans don't want to do even for double the money

They probably heading for Canada

Why even put a fence then? They are basically coming in uncontrolled anyway so it doesn't make a difference. BTW go to Texas and tell me you don't see pleny of "undocumented migrants". I don't think the residents there are just making it up. I lived in an area with a large number of carpet mills and chicken processing plants. There were pleny of jobless citizens there while illegals were getting paid pennies on the dollar under the table.

That’s a non sequitur. What Indonesians and others support is for Palestinians to have rights in their own homeland and not be refugees.
