Does anyone successfully apply for 2nd Home Visa?
I've been back and forth between US-Indo every two months over the whole year and am kind of tired of paying the VoA fee. Since my KITAP expired, I am thinking of getting new KITAS until I came up with this type of visa but not sure if the requirements have been finalized. From the DirJen Imigrasi site stated:

Second Home Visa applications for five and ten years are submitted via Online Visa Approval with the following requirements.

A proof of fund in the form of an account owned by the Foreign Nationals or the Sponsor with a value of at least 2,000,000,000 IDR (two billion rupiahs) or equivalent - is these funds must be in an Indonesian bank? or can it be an overseas bank? I saw some articles stating that I must be in either BRI, BNI, or Mandiri, and upon checking Mandiri, in order to open an account I must have a Passport + KITAS. How can I get an account if I am looking for KITAS (lol)

There is already a discussion about this in this thread

This isn't merely any bank in Indonesia; it must be a government-owned Indonesian bank. BRI, BNI, Mandiri Bank are state owned banks.. The others are BTN, Syariah Bank. It's unclear whether it could be a saving bond or a deposit guarantee schemes earning no interest.

Everyone has their own preferences, but study this discussions and make sure that is what you really want to do.

Opening a bank account without Kitas wouldnot be a problem, I read a similar post in FB. But when you want to invest your money in bank product like deposits, you need a NPWP, tax number.

... it seems the important point is confirming exactly how Immigration wants the IDR 2 billion proof of funds ... did you open the Indonesian bank account before applying ...
According to https://evisa.imigrasi.go.id/web/visa-selection, you have 90 days after entering Indonesia to put US$ 130,000 (not Rp2 billion) in a state-owned bank .
was a regular savings account sufficient, or did Immigration require the funds to be placed in a particular type of deposit or investment?
This is not informed in the above mentioned website . I guess it may be invested in any of the bank's available investment products , but better you ask Immigration directly (see how at https://evisa.imigrasi.go.id/front/info/contact-us) .

You realize that’s an advertisement by a bot?
No , but it doesn't matter to me .

If I can , I will try to do my best in answering any reasonable question , as it may be useful , if not now , probably in the future .
