Kitap Renewal struggles

Something I forgot to mention; the sponsor will not get an update of the status by email or text, besides the ‘end result’.

Now your sponsor will get a weird looking PDF for the KITAP and one for the MERP. You need to download these, shrink them and probably laminate. Like the good old days 🙇🏼‍♂️
This is especially annoying since the airlines in Europe always ask for the residence permit if you don’t have a return flight. The stamp in passport and credit card format KITAP were very convenient.
My sponsor didn't get any MERP, ,only kitap. In fact I've never had any physical document for MERP during my previous kitap and kitas...except when i renewed MERP i think i got a paper, but when making kitap and kitas i don't remember ever getting one physically.

then there's a section for "proof of gauarantor" or something like that, I cant remember, and they give examples of possible documents to upload that aren't specific to spouse kitap, it includes things that would apply to other visas...so you basically have to guess what documents your supposed to upload there.
Good feedback.

About this ‘garantor’ section; the first is the field you have to use to upload all the documents that are not specifically asked for but which you need to provide anyway. Normally both KTP’s should be part of that also, just like surat sponsor with materai, ….

So, as said before, you need to provide practically everything you got, even in the 5 year reporting.

They disapprove the application if something is missing but you or the sponsor will not get an email. You need to (have the sponsor) login and check. They mention you need to upload the missing doc via that Garantor field. But but but; that doesn’t mean they only want that particular document since they have the rest. Nope, you need to add the missing document to the large PDF and upload the whole bunch again.

In that eVisa system you need to apply for the IMK as well. But the first time this is practically always included.

Then go through the uploads again and of course the payment.

And after approval you can download the MERP by clicking on the permit number and then the Action button.

Ah yes i see it now and just downloaded it, thanks for that.

Also they didn't mention anything about paying the one day overstay fee i was expecting to pay since i applied on the day of expiry, so i guess they let me off on that since it wasn't my fault i applied late.
You are not fined if you submitted & paid in the day your KITAP expired .

Article 128 of PerMen no.22 Year 2023 - free translation
(3) Application for extension of a KITAP ... may be submitted as soon as 3 months and at the latest on the day the ITAP expires ...

Ah okay, i was thinking it has to be before it expires because many years ago i overstayed a regular one month tourist visa here and they charged me for the day of expiry plus the additional days, but this law is from 2023 and that happened in 2018 i think, so that's good to know they've changed it.

I suppose this rule is still the same .

I don't know if the Regulation (not Law) for when to request an ITAP extension did change or not (I did a quick check but could not find it) .
