DON'T PANIC.... well, maybe a little bit.

I guess Indonesia is lucky to have the inactivated-type vaccines (Sinovac and Sinopharm) instead of the mRNA-type (Pfizer and Moderna).
About 8% of our DNA are remnants of viruses that infected us since the beginning of our evolution.

Researchers in The Netherlands and Germany have warned that Pfizer-BioNTech’s coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccine induces complex reprogramming of innate immune responses that should be considered in the development and use of mRNA-based vaccines.

Don't ask me, I don't really understand the difference between "altered DNA" and "complex reprogramming of innate immunity". Is it the same? I don't know.

But I believe senior citizens don't have to worry too much about it. However, the young and productive may wish to be informed if it will affect future pregnancy and their yet-to-be born babies.

Nevertheless, the study is not yet peer-reviewed according to the article.

I read a sci-fi series a long time ago where someone removed all traces of viruses and diseases from humans and ended up with a significantly different animal. I think they were similar to Neanderthal somehow. The science is probably dated, but it was a fun series. Wish I could remember the name.

Seems like maybe Cory Doctorow also used a similar idea of "purifying" humans by removing all traces of viruses in one of his books... Which I also don't remember the title of.

Wife and I are lining up in Jimbaran Bali for second AstraZenaca shot on Monday as this area is now being covered. Varying reports about reactions to second shot. Wife's daughter was sick and vomiting for two days after the first vaccination and is not at all thrilled by having the second shot on Tuesday.

I will report back with any or no side effects. I see in the US 80% of people asked have expressed concerns about possible ill effects with vaccination.

One of my mates from rugby said he experience side effects and felt like he had the flu.

Isn't the whole point of the vaccine to kick our antibodies into gear in preparation for the virus?
I would be much more concerned if there were no side effects at all, that would imply that the vaccine hadn't had any effect on the body.

Our body's natural response to fighting off infiltration with the baddies is
to make us hot- heat lends towards a crappy environment for viruses
to make us sneeze- sneezing expels
to make us cough- coughing expels,
All of the above are symptoms of flu/cold/& just about any virus out there as they are really our body's autoimmune systems kicking into place.
All in layman's terms for those who don't like medical jargon :)

In Jimabaran, Bali, second AstraZenaca vaccination for wife, daughter, her sister and myself. Daughter had a throbbing shoulder but otherwise no adverse reactions

With a long, slow queue for cars all up it took about three and a half hours but it seems this has been the experience in many countries. Yesterday morning there was a radio report that Indonesia would require a third jab. There have been reports that a third vaccination with AstraZenaca is beneficial. Personally, I would rather not and prefer not to have annual booster shots but if travel does open up again then it seems this will be necessary.

Meanwhile with Malaysia in lockdown and Victoria (Aus) has just extended a lockdown from 7 days to 14 days it seems free travel is not about to happen any time soon.

I was reading an article about how the government is bragging they have 91 million doses of vaccine on hand. Shouldn't the bragging be about getting those does in people's arms? Nothing about that.

I also see that Sandiaga wants Vaccines made available for his Vaccine tourism so people can travel and spend cash to get them instead of staying home and getting the vaccine while saving all that cash.

Now they also want vaccines set aside for those going to Haj. The article that followed that one said that SA has not approved anyone from Indonesia to go on Haj. Just what are they saving them for if they have no one to administer them to/

The only thing in the news should be how they are getting them in arms at a record pace and doing it with some type of organization and not some mass crowd pushing and shoving as I seen on TV. This government and it's response to the pandemic is pretty bad at best.

Saw a few interesting articles on Yahoo this morning.

Worse Than the Disease? Reviewing Some Possible Unintended Consequences of the mRNA Vaccines Against COVID-19

I see this is written by a computer scientist and someone who specializes in something called Naturopathic Oncology at a tiny place called Immersion Health in Portland. Obviously some real specialists there..../s

I freely admit i didnt read the article so i cant comment on the content but the reason I didnt read it as I dont see it as a valid source at all.

Got my AZ vaccine the other day at the local Puskesmas. 2nd dose in 12 weeks' time. Some side effects but they seem to be clearing up after two days. It felt a bit like a religious experience, this meme went through my head as the needle went in:

I looked at the other ‘articles’ of the self proclaimed “International Journal of Vaccine Theory, Practice, and Research”. Not much reading actually, since their first volume was in 2020.

My conclusion is a bunch of anti vaxxers decided to create their own “scientific journal” because they can’t publish their stuff through real scientific journals.

I’m reminded of certain questionable businesses calling themselves universities in USA and essentially selling degrees. Because they’re not really an educational institution, they can’t get accredited by real regional accreditation bodies. Their solution? Create their own formal-sounding accreditation body, recognized by nobody else including the state and federal government. Somehow this is legal in USA. The most the government can do is declare that institutions accredited by this mickey mouse accreditation body doesn’t qualify for federal student loan and aid.

Even worse is that these guys will offer "student loans" to their students at horrendous interest rates and terms. Which brings us back to “International Journal of Vaccine Theory, Practice, and Research”... I wonder if they can qualify for government grants, etc. Or "researchers" claiming to want to publish their research to this journal getting government research grants...

Yeah, but then they’ll say the government is complicit in the coverup, with “deep state” and all. This is tinfoil hat and Qanon territory.

Naturopathic Oncology, the science of curing cancer with massages, acupuncture and herbal tea. Nice one Dave!
