Any questions about being WNA or did they not really check?
In my case the KTP was all that was asked for. It says right on it that I am a WNA. I can not say if a SKTT would be accepted the same.

According to Astra Zeneca it is not actually haram, as it doesn't have anything pig-related in it:

Which confirms my suspicion that halal certification is a business decision based on whether or not money is paid, and has little to do with whether or not a product contains pork or alcohol.
I believe they claimed it haram because of the stated problems and the banning of in other counties. That is why others are saying it is still OK to get. If they said it contained pork then they would be out everywhere doing all they could to stop it.

This is for over 60's at the moment right? I presume it will take a few months to move to the next age group.
Most areas that are administering it are taking appointments or at least a registration to get it. May do it same day some places probably depending on the demand. Nationwide the Phase 2 program is for over 59 years of age along with some others. I believe teachers can also get vaccinated but a few I have spoken to said they are reluctant to get it. A couple said they are waiting for their own children to become eligible before they get it. Nobody ever said all teachers are smart.

Just a recommendation, correct? If you are worried about the timing, I would go just before the 2nd dose, or plan to wait until 3 days after for potential side effects to subside.
It didn't sound like a recommendation. She just said in the instructions no travel until after the 2nd dose. My wife did not question it.

If there's no mechanism for enforcement, it's just a recommendation 😉

I will need to check if I can travel with one shot or still need to still get tested before leaving.
Oh, I expect you will still need to be tested, I was not implying you wouldn't.

I have not seen any instance of Indonesian regulations changing for those with proof of vaccination, which is disappointing, but hopefully is just around the corner.

I have heard different things with teachers being allowed the vaccine. A few from my school have said they aren't allowed to get it yet, while others are saying they can get it.

The vaccine doesn't prevent you from catching the virus, it just prevents that the virus destroys your health. But you can still be a "carrier" and hence a "spreader".
Although I admit that no government or medical authority in the world likes to communicate on that. They probably keep that as the next surprise.
Meanwhile Bali has made it clear that being vaccinated does NOT exempt you from needing a negative Covid test !

Zero plan to travel anywhere as long this madness continues.
I am perfectly fine in Bali.

Lol... Yes, Bali is rather adequate, isn't it. Poor you!
I will be perfectly fine as a Texas oil magnate, once they discover oil on the land they discover I inherited from a previously unknown relative

That's technically true, but both logical and borne out in studies that there is a substantial reduction in transmission possibility from those already vaccinated. I am fine with the testing requirement for those vaccinated, for now, but I do think people with both a vaccination and a negative test on-arrival should be exempted from the 5 day quarantine for international arrivals.

Indeed, asking for the vaccine + the PCR test but still asking for a 5 day quarantine would be pushing it a bit far !

It's all about the money. A 5 day quarantine is at least 3.4j plus 2 pcr tests at 800k each. Some teachers I know had to pay about 1j a night at the hotel they went to after they got on the bus at the airport to take them to the hotel. Then if you 'test positive', it is a few million more.

For anyone who thinks normal travel to Singapore will resume this year (or next year):

Minister for Foreign Affairs Vivian Balakrishnan said on Friday (Mar 26) that Singapore and Indonesia should ideally have the "same level of control" over COVID-19 transmissions before travel arrangements can begin to resume.
"I would like to reiterate the point that we need the COVID-19 situation to improve significantly. Ideally for them to achieve the same level of control as we have currently in Singapore, which means every day we have between zero and one community case locally," said Dr Balakrishnan.

As I suspected:

The mistaken logic behind the fatwa became even more apparent when the East Java regional Nahdlatul Ulama leadership issued a fatwa stating exactly the opposite. The religious scholars there clearly stated that the AstraZeneca vaccine is holy and halal. This argument is more logical because it takes into account medical facts and is based on science. Therefore, it is only right for people to ask what is happening with the MUI. Why did the body that should comprise wise and respected religious figures issue such a controversial fatwa?
An investigation by Tempo resulted in a number of interesting findings. Several sources involved in the process of issuing the MUI fatwa mentioned allegations of individuals who tried to negotiate over the matter of the fatwa in return for particular services. If these accusations are true, the validity of the MUI fatwa should rightly be questioned. Vice President Ma'ruf Amin as chairman of the MUI Advisory Council must look into what actually happened.

Indonesia will get 50 million people vaccinated, then call the pandemic over, and throw away all the tests. Ta-da! Zero cases.

Teachers now on the list of those who can get the vaccine.
They quietly started approving teachers two weeks ago, though the quotas were quite small and filled up within a couple hours of becoming available (at least for the publicly-funded ones).

This morning, the principal of the SMP shared in WA a pdf file that was almost 400 pages and had 1,000 teachers names on it. Most of the SMP teachers went today and a few are going tomorrow. One teacher wasn't on the list, but he was encouraged to register and he was able to get the shot. SMA isn't on the list, but I was told by one of the other non-Indonesian teachers that he and another non-Indonesian from SMA were going tomorrow. I signed up and will go with them. I received both an email and WA confirmation.
