DON'T PANIC.... well, maybe a little bit.

Anti-government protesters in HK are using social media to spread fear and hate of anything from China.

 I love your style of comedy! You are funny.

Nobody here in HK respects or trusts the mainland government! The mainland gov't, once again, caused huge problems when they tried to suppress info. about a problem. If you are sincerely interested, just do 5 minutes of reading: pro-Beijing personalities, from business to politics, are ALL telling the HK gov't to close the border.

Schools may remain closed past 17th Feb. if Macau's example is followed.

Yes, now we're out until 2nd March, at least:

It is already happening in Japan, they isolate each one coming back from Wuhan, like solitary confinement until past 14 days. I don't think Indonesia can do that to evacuated Indonesians, and it will spread if just one of them is infected.

Could that be the reason why Indonesia refused to repatriate their citizens (read: students) last week?

....the price of face masks and sanitizer is rising rapidly in Jawa Barat.

People here in HK are queuing up for HOURS in the hope of getting a box or two of masks

there seem to be alternatives ?

I don't know jstar, but I just heard that the President has ordered their return to Indonesia.

Another possible problem is the disposal of face masks in Indonesia. Most people will probably just toss it into the garbage without thinking that poor people may get the virus from picking the trash. It is not unusual to see scavengers as young as 6 or 7 years old roaming the street here. I will burn it in the backyard to avoid this from happening, or maybe I will use washable ones to reduce waste.

Today, I learned that our forum has a surgical mask emoji: 😷

For the 243 WNI; the aircraft which will do a direct flight, has gotten clearance from the Chinese authorities to enter and land. But now they have to queue.

One starts to wonder if the Trump administration doesn’t see this as a perfect opportunity to bring China (economically) to its knees?

So we currently are in the lower left corner? ?

NB: I dont like it when they use -as in this chart- exponential axis. It distorts the impression of absolute amounts (try to distillate the mortality rate of MERS at 34% and SARS at 10% with Corona at 2% and Swine Flu at 0.02%). It used often to trick the viewer and to get some point across.

Yeah, it makes you wonder how they cope with the 'regular' cases of strokes, heart attacks, etc. over there. Don't think many ambulances and ER's would be available for those...

Hahahaha....

The CCP bots have invaded here as well ?

Oops, cover's blown. The WHO praises China's extraordinary measures... must be an organization controlled by the CCP.

According to that Jakarta Post article they're prepared quite well.

But that's South Sulawesi, esp. Bali must be vulnerable.

Unfortunately, bcs of poor experiences of my extended family with the local health service, I have little confidence in the skill levels and equipment standards .
