MMR vac needs boosters. Polio vac needs boosters, Malaria vac is good for 6 months, annual flu vac is adjusted for varients every year, Typhoid vac is 3 years and then a booster, thyphus vac is 10 years, and you are trying to say boosters mean something is wrong but more than likely you or those close to you have all had boosters of some kind. Your argument holds no water.
Yep, but they were not sold to us by mass media, governments, SOME scientifics as being the miracle cure ! !
You want a few other notes ? Not mine, all picked up on a major financial website, in the comment section when analyzing Biotech, Big Pharma, or political Covid situation. It's a US site, and the vast majority of posters are US.
Ready ?
- We all have heard this many times "Trust the Science". As a career Scientist, I completely agree with that. But, (and this is a huge but)..
Simply because a pundit, politician, celebrity health official or scientist says something, popular or unpopular, and refers to "Science" does not make it Science-based. Science is a process that takes place when a hypothesis is proven or disproven by carefully controlled, carefully recorded experimentation. The results of these experiments are compared to a control group (of groups) and conclusions are drawn. The results are then Peer reviewed and discussed. This last part takes years and not everyone will agree with the consensus. Then, and only then, can we say that the science supports a conclusion. Everything else is just conversation. Bases on this process, we can ask hypothetical questions, and provide the current, science-based status:
Do masks curtail the transmission of Covid-19? - We don't know. (show me a study)
Do unvaccinated people put vaccinated people at risk? - We don't know. (Show me a study)
Is Covid-19 worse than the Spanish flu? - We don't know.
Does 6-ft social distancing lessen Covid-19 transmission? - We don't know.
Do our vaccines help to eliminate Covid infection? - Preliminarily, Yes. But compared to standard drug development protocols of the last 60 years, these vaccines were really rushed, with shortcuts everywhere.
Do vaccines have unanticipated, LONG TERM AEs? - We don't know.
Anyway, you get the idea.
Now, I am not against vaccines. On the contrary, I myself had two injections of one. What I am against is evoking the good name of Science to justify a political, social position or course of action. If we want to do something as a society because it seems like a good idea to the majority, then fine, lets wear masks. It just seems to me that there are a lot of pseudo-scientific claims out there and few real Science-based conclusions
- The vaccines are so effective, vaccinated people are put at risk just by the existence of unvaccinated people. Wow.
- you have to wonder why only 50% of healthcare workers are vaccinated. you would think people who see covid deaths every 10 minutes would immediately take the vaccine...unless....
- I was just thinking the same thing. Also, if "COVID" deaths are running rampant through all our hospitals, why have over half of healthcare workers refused the vaccine? Seems like they would be ones most terrified. Whats up with that?
Bloody all conspirationist ...
