Are any of you taking any prepping measures at all?

Yes. All of that and then there is a need for prepping for the internet. This morning Gmail opened to a page of excitement about all the wonderful things Gmail could do. And then asking you to sign in. Except my password had changed and I went around and around in circles trying the various methods to recover the account. I have a written list of websites and passwords but must have updated some time ago and could not find the latest password. The system kept ping ponging me to my phone and website but eventually got connected using Google Help.

To prep myself for future problems I realize I need a half brain transplant so I am inviting you all to send donations to help me do this. Perhaps upwards of US$115,000. Should my appeal raise more than that you can be sure I will use the excess wisely. As in getting come candles, batteries, tinned food and bags of rice.

I try to keep a month’s supply of water and cooking gas, plus staples like uncooked rice, and a fair amount of canned food. I’ve looked into a 2kw power station for emergencies, but they seem a bit overpriced at the moment.

Then again, I’m currently staying in Jakarta for 5 weeks before heading to Bali next month.

Just to butt in, lot of you are just describing normal life in the kampung or European style go for the big shop a month supply of oil beans etc etc ie a full pantry, not necesssarily linked to Jtown shenanigans, or yes genpack candles etc for those in the jungle, blackouts etc far away from civil war etc here

But anyway, carry on as you were. I am in the middle of Jak (Mega Super Hyper Kuningan) and not much drama here TBH and not even many bule around these days. Like I said if you in Kemang, get to the bule pools first lol

Staples are important, as well as Blu Tac, and some post it notes
