Hi Guys, I am getting close to Kitap Renewal Time ......, I have a Big Question ....,
With Kitap Renewal ..,
IIRC, Some time back .., I read a Rule/ Law was 'changed' regarding your Kitap sponsor (ie; my wife - in my case) - and whether or not they are still actually required - as a Sponsor for Kitap Renewal ?
Is it true ???
.., that if you are a KITAP Holder seeking KITAP RENEWAL - "and you have already been married for a period of 10 years or more" ..., then you no longer require your Indonesian spouse (ie; with KTP) to be your sponsor ?
(ie; a change was made IIRC that states - if you are a Kitap Holder , and have also been married for a period 10 years or more to that Kitap Sponsor - then you no longer need a sponsor to renew you kitap) ?
I read a while back IIRC ..., that the law was changed to accommodate those Kitap holders (who had been married 10 years or more)
...., to be able to renew their KITAP Visas in case they were faced with Divorce, or the death of a Spouse.
I also read the law change was designed in mind - to help keep families together ?
Can someone please clarify and confirm if this is/ or is not the case ?
Cheers
