Perhaps but people better start working on 4 years from now because in all likelihood, there will be a presidential change.

In a dream world perhaps but, unfortunately, most Americans get their political fix from soundbites from a news source or from their friend. Only a small percentage actuall listen and analyze information for themselves.

There are more political junkies in the USA than your comment implies, but yes, far too many of us are members of a mouth breathing, clueless herd. I like to think that the ones who actually research and read in the process of forming an opinion and making a choice are the ones who move the needle.

It's a little premature to begin thinking about the next election. Preparation for the 2020 race traditionally do not start until November 9, 2016.

The one good thing that I can find in this presidental election is that the people of the United States are sick and tried of the way these 2 parties are running this country. So for the 1st time in a very long time maybe we are ready for a couple of new parties to step up and gain the trust of the people for a new direction.
On one side you have the Tea party (which i think are crasy) and on the other side you have Our Revolution with Bernie Sanders. Both of these groups have surport from a lot of american people.
It seems to me both Rebulican and Dem. Parties are unraveling before our eyes. In my eyes electing some of the new canidates from the new parties that aren't beholding to follow the old parties lines to the congress and senate would allow the country to get back on track. As of right now it seems nothing can get done because they all must follow the party lines. Its time to shake things up and i see this election as proof to that.
The goverment needs to rember its to govern the country for the people and not for big bussiness.

This election is going to be a barn burner and the burning could continue after November 8th regardless of who wins.

Incidentally, third parties in the USA historically just don't make it for long. They tend to be the catalysts for change in the major parties, but then fizzle out.

Trump is not winning New York. Ever. I also think many of these laws regarding photos with social media about pictures of ballots and voting will be held unconstitutional as a violation of the first amendment freedom of speech.

I'm not concerned about Republican infighting, I'm worried about random violence by Trump supporters angry about their guy losing, blaming the 'rigged' system and anybody who is against the guy.
