I think the new regulations were supposed to be distributed. They also include provisions for kitas/kitap holders to enter from banned countries. Unfortunately immigration website has been hacked but let's see tomorrow.

How are you guys doing together - I am glad I'm on my own. I think I would need a suite if I had a second person quarantining with me.

We are doing okay and the room is fairly big enough so we can move around without stepping on each other or our suitcases. She is trying to get me to quit smoking which is why I am the grumpier between the two of us. I think not being about to order food from GoJek or Grab is the main thing that is bothering her.

I flew in last night and this was my experience. I landed just before 6pm and was in my hotel room just before 8pm - so 2 hrs in total including the taxi trip. The airport was really empty due to me flying on 31st/ 1st Jan (I hate NYE and usually choose to fly this day as most airports are pretty quiet). On a busier day Im sure that would take a lot longer - I walked past a LOT of spare seating areas on my way to the first check point.

Did u use business visa ? What did you say to immigration when they ask what purpose you come to indonesia? Thanks

I am on a spouse sponsored kitap. I handed them my passport and kitap card. Never said anything else.

I have lived and worked here for over 6 years and have a KITAS - they didnt ask me any questions.

Hey Chris - the manager just rang me here - the quarantine is reduced to 7 days so tmr is my early release. They will do the 2nd PCR today for me and will refund the extra money to my card - hope you guys have a similar situation?

Just called downstairs at my hotel and they have confirmed the quarantine for most travelers is now 7 days. My wife and I are supposed to get our pcr test at some point today.

The official list is linked on the page along with a link with all regulations effecting quarantine up to No. 2 of 2022. A quick count of the amount of hotels offered matches the approximate 72 on the official list. I have not cross checked them though. You are welcome to do that work.

We're now planning our first trip back to Indonesia (from Houston, Texas), since the pandemic started. We have flight reservations in July, so still quite a bit of time to get prepared. There'll likely be changes with policies, rules, quarantine time, etc., between now and then.

That said, I've started making inquiries about what we'll need to do based on the current situation. I have a checklist based on various posts here on the forum, and information from one of the quarantine hotels (Four Seasons Jakarta), who I might add were very helpful. I still have a few points of confusion however that I was going to ask here. In any case, here is my checklist:

1. Get a visa: go to "visa-online.imigrasi.go.id" and work through that process. This was what the Indonesia Consulate in Houston advised me to do. We will be staying for 30 days exactly, however my wife may want me to stay a bit longer. So an extension of the 30 days could be in play - we shall see.

2. Get vaccinated. Already did that last March - single dose J&J. Have the paper vaccine card.

3. Make reservations at a quarantine hotel. Too far in advance to do this. Four Seasons Jakarta is recommending one to two months before the arrival date. The person I spoke with is seeing an uptick in reservations, and expecting more in the coming months.

4. 72 hours before departure, get a PCR test, and have physical and digital record of this.

5. Download apps for digital records.

My confusion is about the final item. Four Seasons Jakarta is saying I'll need to get two different apps: 1: Peduli Lindungni and 2: eHAC (Electronic Health Card. I was able to find the Peduli Lindungni easy enough on the Apple app store. Looks like there's a registration process, which I'll need to process through. However, regarding the eHAC, the only thing I found was something from Australia on the app store. It just doesn't seem to make any sense. So based on what I've read on various posts here at Expat Indo, it seems like the Peduli Lindungni is all I may need. Is that true?
