ITAS TO ITAP CONVERSION

Maybe you can't Photoshop with a red background? Question.

Maybe you can't Photoshop with a red background? Question.
Ha, ha. I have used the same photo for the past ten years. Photo taken of myself, edited, added red background, each submitting, changed the shirt color. Shirt is not batik nor a solid color. 10 seconds. Never a question asked.

Kitas has needed red background for at least 14 years. My first one they asked for red.

And about the tie you often gloat about how English is not your first language so you might not understand fully the context or meanings.

As you told us you are from Indonesia but not Indonesian

Must. Should. Mandatory. Necessary

I was told pre covid one time that "Bapak please wear a tie for your photo"
I took some with a shirt and tie and no jacket. Nothing was said
Nowadays I just wear a normal work shirt

I think they just mean wear a formal outfit
Like Batik. Long sleeve is formal short sleeve is casual

Anyway here comes Pantomime with Google wiki definitions of English words. Splitting hairs to try troll
Am I referring to the red background or the tie?
Regarding the red background, did I say otherwise? Reread posts #33 and #39.
11. Pas Foto Berwarna Terbaru 2x3 = 2 Lembar Dan 3x4 = 2 Lembar (Latar Merah)
The Latest Photo of Foreigner 2x3 = 2 Sheets And 3x4 = 2 Sheets (Red Background)

I choose not to watch pantomime, so I'll leave that to you. My focus lies in delivering information that is both accurate and non-misleading.

If you do not have a good memory, I just want to remind you that you have provided misleading information FOUR times in the last few months alone as stated in this thread

as discussed recently in this thread
"Man MUST wear a tie now also"

and another recent one #150 (see the link below)
"if a bank foreclosed on an asset to sell to clear a debt and it's not enough, you still have to find a way to get the rest. "

The tie - I said already several times that was what my agent told me. Must. Should. Try. Please.
I never quoted as it being a law. I just said that was what my agent told me several years ago. One year I did. But not since. And no one has ever complained. But you SHOULD. I mean it looks more professional right? To be wearing a suit in a passport photo. Not a bintang t-shirt.

Mortgage defaults:
https://www.alrowaad.ae/knowledge/real-estate-laws/law-no-14-of-2008/

Example. Article 30

If the sale proceeds are not sufficient to cover the claim of a creditor, such creditor can claim the difference from the debtor.

Now in Indonesia since bule can't get a mortgage (I think?) I don't know how it works but let's say you don't pay your car loan and they take your car and sell it but there is a shortfall, you are still liable for the balance

That's why they ask for a large dp on a car loan so there is always equity.

Now if they sell it (car or house) for MORE than the debt, good luck trying to get the surplus back

I forget the other 2. But all you do is split hairs and criticise and don't contribute anything positive except copy paste news articles and post political YouTube videos

At least the rest of us TRY to provide useful general information

It reads almost like Pantaiema and Snpark were once married and had a very bitter divorce but can't quite let go. Or the characters in the film The Duellists with Harvey Keitel and Keith Carradine as two rival officers during the Napoleonic wars and carry on feuding and dueling over a period of 20 years.

Great film.

Dear Colleagues,

Please be informed that there is a new rule from Manpower re. IMTA picture.

For the foreigner who wants to apply IMTA, they should attach the picture with the following details :

1. the size : 4x6,
2. red background and
3. should be wearing formal Shirt for
man (with tie on) and formal Shirt for
woman

Many thanks.
Best,
Tyas

That was the email my agent sent me 2018

I wore a tie that year
But not again the following years

That is why it is important to mention the source of information. If the source was stated from the beginning, the discussion would not be lengthy.

In my personal opinion, information will only be useful if it is not misleading. Misleading information will do more harm than good.

Now, regarding mortgage defaults, I bring this up in the original thread to avoid getting mixed up with the original topics of this thread.

I clearly posted the source
A reputable agent
I even posted her original email

Now as to who told her, she says in her email herself

I'm sorry that 6 years ago I didn't think to ask her for the person's rant and NIK for proof

My agent just said "this is what immigration said". I have no reason to question her. It's a perfectly reasonable request for a formal shirt and tie to be worn for an office photo

Just like there are rules about wearing glasses
And hair must be tucked behind both ears
No contact lenses
Etc etc etc

Jeez

Reread post #39 and the origin of this quotation which was written in December 9, 2023.

Is there anything there where the source was stated ? "my agent said"

Just in case anybody else is also not so keen leaving their passport to KanIm for a month or two, I recommend using an agent. I have done my ITAS' with my wife / sponsor, but for ITAS - ITAP conversion needed to use a familiar agent just because of scheduling issues.

Gave my passport to agent Monday 15.01., went to biometrics (and a friendly chit-chat) Monday 22.01., and today Friday 26.01. can see my ITAP approved ( https://izintinggal-online.imigrasi.go.id/ ) and will get my passport back next Monday. All in all two weeks, no house visit, so not bad at all!

This in DKI Jakarta so location helps a lot to smoothen the process.

How much do you think having an agent sped up the process? Since all the foreigners have left Indonesia (at least at my Immigration office) there is no longer much of a wait for anything. I think times have changed and 2 months of waiting are going away.

Well this way I do not need to do any guessing work when agent gave the time frame.
