In China self-driving cars are already operational, meaning they are coming to Indonesia in few years. Imagine that.

HH had a good idea! These drivers are smart enough to learn things that could advance their skills, instead of being bored, and just sitting around. Such as various Languages, becoming a manager, a cook, working for the government, the Airport, etc. All while, still being a driver. I'm sure they and their families would be proud and more financially well off. These self driving cars are still having problems, and are only operational in Major cities, with well planned infrastructure. Due to the roads in Bali, not being very well thought out for the future, even now, they are overcrowded, people not following traffic laws, not enough Traffic lights. Motorcyclist all over the opposite lane, not enough Police enforcing traffic laws, Etc. There is no way a self driving car could manage here.

Maybe 7-9 million for a driver who can speak English

7-9 mil for someone that can speak English, has a University degree, and can be trusted to do everything from being a tour guide to taking care of complex erands that you may need performed.
