Till 3 weeks ago we had 2 cats.
A little black female, called Black Princess, and a big, strong male, Bobby.

Now 3 weeks ago Bobby brought home his g/f...
Obviously VERY pregnant, so I am not going to chase her away. Ok, 1 more mouth to feed...
2 days later she brings one of her previous kids with her...ok, can not kick out.
The next she brings the whole team....

Means we went from 2 cats to 6, not counting the 3 "in the oven" ...

A bit of a problem because we live in a resort and there will be an idiot who doesn't like cats.....

My younger daughter was a cat lover. We had several cats when we lived in Brunei, and they were very affectionate toward her. We found new homes for them with friends when we left Brunei. She missed them so much that, a year later, we visited Brunei to see them. However, she was heartbroken because the cats—especially the ones she loved the most—did not recognize her and even avoided her.

She missed them so much that, a year later, we visited Brunei to see them. However, she was heartbroken because the cats—especially the ones she loved the most—did not recognize her and even avoided her.

My missus spend rougly 6 weeks here and then 4 weeks in Java at her house.
When she comes back to Bali it takes one or two days for the cats to go close to her.
Maybe forgot her or maybe want to show her they're not happy about her being absent ?
I opt for the latter.

One of the most beautifull cats I had in France 20 years ago.

But she knew she was of a "superior" breed and never mixed with the other "ordinary" cats we had.

In Australia it is estimated there are up to 5 million feral cats. In Indonesia it is estimated maybe up to 1.5 million stray and feral cats. In Australia it is estimated that more 1 billion wildlife animals are killed by feral cats each year. There is no estimate for Indonesia but it is noticable that there few urban birds.

Yep, I saw a documentary on a Swiss TV channel about the same subject in Switzerland.
There are still birds in the resort I live in , but the cats are just waiting for one to "land".
Most victims are very young ones learning to fly.
