Against WHO reccomendations.
If they are in freezers you van bet those freezers are in Jakarta and Bali probably waiting for some political party to get their propaganda set up or a PR program for the police somewhere. It's really unacceptable - the GR is a complete mess. I cant actually talk about it without venting.
What a waste of potentially life-saving vaccines. Should be in arms not in a freezer somewhere.
Same for my kiddos. Assuming all goes well tomorrow, our household will consist of 4 fully Sino-vaxed people, one of whom has an additional J&J (myself). Who knows, maybe we can even shop in a mall sometime soonwe're booked for tomorrow morning
I downloaded it yesterday and everything was easy, got my cert in it immediately after entering my NIK.So today I decided to try to dowload the pedulilindungi apps again, this time for some reason it worked..maybe I typed a wrong keyword before....and after keep getting an annoying message to turn on my location, I realized that they wanted it to always be turned on vs turning the loc on when the app is launched. Okay...so proceeded to go to my vaccination certificate...whaddayaknow..'certificate not yet available' stupid...since if i log in to the website it's there. So...uninstalled the stupid thing I did.... Luckily I remember I still have my sms text from them saying my certificate and when I clicked on it, it pulls up my certificate....for some reason the 2nd certificate link occasionally asks for OTP so i have to make sure I give myself at least 10-15 minutes before i need it.
Now, I went to a small mall near my house this afternoo, armed with my screen shot and the link...the printed certificate and the card...,the security politely asked for my vaccine card, I pulled up my printed card (that I've made into a small SIM-size card. They didn't even check it and let me in.
As long as they don't do the QR code thing I think i'm fine.
Ironically, after posting this item I find that in Australia today there is a report of a number of vaccination mistakes. We all make mistakes and I can't help but feel sorry for that poor nurse who accidentally gave a jab with an empty needle instead of with vaccine. Paraded before TV as criminally negligent and threatened with up to one year's gaol.
Well, we had our first Vax-glitch today. The location which told the kids to return on "11 agustus" was, of course, closed for the holiday. The Mrs. will try again tomorrow.Same for my kiddos. You're one of the very lucky ones. I consider myself pretty lucky too....although my access to the (now deleted) app was intermittent (and my certificate is unavailable through there), I still managed to get my sms link. I checked pedulilindungi facebook page, it's pretty much filled with myriad of posts from people with typical problems....'no certificate when downloading the app', 'sent home with a promise of sms link', 'certificate with wrong name', etc. So far I managed to get to two malls. I already know which mall (s) to avoid...seems like Casablanca is one (requiring QR scan according to detik.com) thank goodness I don't go there that often.I downloaded it yesterday and everything was easy, got my cert in it immediately after entering my NIK.
I will print out my cert too though in case my phone battery dies and I'm stuck.
Does anyone know of a centralized place (online) to find listings for where/when to get a vaccine outside Jakarta? I'm hoping for something that will work in Bandung, actually.
BA has suggested that I go to my local Puskesmas, which is reasonable, but it isn't convenient in my particular case. That will be my next step, if there are no better alternatives.

Kuningan city mall is enforcing the QR scan too - I live in the apartments over it and usually go home through the mall rather than the apartment lobby. So lots of sign ins for me. Glad I have it working! You're one of the very lucky ones. Cool. That might be an option soon, then. Pretty easy to check PVJ's social media accounts once a day.![]()

The mall (PVJ) was dead yesterday despite the 20 or 30 people stood outside trying to figure out the qr scanner & app.

well it seems all a little too logical to me hahaha, captive audience wanting access, can't get in without a vax... so make a space for them to get the vax...Cool. That might be an option soon, then. Pretty easy to check PVJ's social media accounts once a day.
Went to Bandung a couple months ago and I am sorry to have missed this place...looks quite nice! Didn't even know such type of semi-outdoor mall exists! Reminds me of outlets we have in the US. Will have to revisit!![]()

It's always been my favorite mall in town. People say bad things about the floor finishing and the dark ceilings downstairs, but to me it kind of feels like an old black box theatre. Just, spacious and not too shiny. Disliking crowds as much as I do (and this mall is very popular), that spaciousness and lack of ornamentation help me avoid sensory overload. It just doesn't feel as draining as the other malls.Went to Bandung a couple months ago and I am sorry to have missed this place...looks quite nice!
