Do you still need to be quarantined to enter US even after you've had the vaccine and PCR?
Nope; negative PCR OR rapid antigen test within 3 days of departure is all that is required to enter the US (regardless of vaccination status).

Some of my mates who had it said they didn't feel anything until after the second jab.

Yes, my daughter too. Feel nothing on first kab then fever on the second.
We'll get the second jab on 23rd. The same day we'll take our PCR test for traveling. Hopefully okay.

My family members did not have any trouble with the first shot, though a couple of them got a little sick after the second pfizer shots. Nothing major; just flu-like symptoms. I felt nothing at all after my second sinovac shot; first one had very minor arm soreness.

If possible, any way to move the shots up a couple days earlier? If you have a serious reaction, you will not be in shape to fly.

My wife had a 103+ fever, whole body badly shaking, hyperventilating, and felt super cold a day or two after the 2nd shot.

Got the 2nd AZ shot yesterday, whole process took about 1 1/2 hours, they did hundreds while I was there, very efficient. Woke up this morning a bit weak at the knees & tender shoulder.

Wife went today, computer system broke down & she was there 6 hours

We had our 2nd jab on 23rd. Again, very easy and straight forward. No queue. Even during 20 minutes waiting time, don't see others.

Practically no side effects to me. Just a bit sleepy after 2 hours. double expresso solved the problem. Wife was slightly fever (37.4C) but did not affect her daily activities.
Flying back home on 25th, no issues.

Interesting as I got an opportunity to get Sinovac as my vaccine..an acquaintance of my cousin has a supply of Sinovac for his clinic (Posko Mandiri?), but willing to shoe me in, but when I gave my KTP (OA) I was told "Oh...WNA, the Sinovac is reserved for WNI...but he happened to also ordered Sinopharm for the Gotong Royong for some of the expats at his company (at least that's what i was told)...he said it's not available for just anybody, but he just helping out my cousin, so I guess I'll be having my Sinopharm first jab this week....

I've still been offered several times chances to have Sino and AZ but I'm still stubbornly politely insisting women and children first hahhaah

Not scared but not in a rush. Waiting for the captain America upgraded v2.1
Or if everyone else drops dead from side effects we won't need the antivirus anyway

Meanwhile, my company is still waiting for new about the gotong royong and I'm desperately looking for a jab... No luck so far.

I'm under 60, I don't have surat domisili in Jakarta and I don't work in education industry.

Only (remote) chance at a jab I have heard of for myself is something to do with a church in Bandung. They have a sign-up list for their members (and "sympathisers") to get jabs. I'm not a member, but it might be doable. I kinda feel like this is double queue jumping though, me pretending to be a sympathizer and them pretending to be a special class that needs to be vaccinated before the general public.

I'm not so sure people are actually queueing up... where we went, the place was practically empty. There were just 2 other people there ahead of us, one had just been vaccinated & was doing the wait 15 minutes thing & the other was called into the cubicle as we sat down. Then 1 other person came in after us, I have no way of knowing if this is typical or an anomaly though.
We aimed for 10 am as we weren't given a specific time, just a date. We were home again for 11ish. Maybe the lateness of the hour was a factor?
Ask your Pk RT what the agenda is for your area HappyMan, they may be doing a village by village thing (rather than age group thing) as they did for us.

Ask around. You don't have to wait for your job. I got an email from booking.com for a free vaccine at a mall (granted I live in Jaksel).
