I'm curious with PT. Pacific Lacto Jaya. Not much information in the internet. Their website is for Lacto asia pte. which according their about us:You probably also didn't missed the use of "Edam" on the PT Pacific Lacto jaya cheese in this thread, despite being produced in Tangerang?
Lacto Asia Trading division provides high-quality products and service to customers fast-growing Asian market. We source dairy ingredients from major milk-producing region in Oceania, Europe, North America and South America. We supply them to local food manufactures in countries where we have overseas subsidiaries and to customers in neighboring countries.
Yesterday, I talked to the shop owner and a Dutch friend - they dont believe that this company able to produce Edam and Gouda in Indonesia, could be just a trick to get high TKDN (local content) purpose.
I was curious, I bought 1 kg, the taste was okay, a little light - but this is an opinion of orang kampung who knows more about tempeh and tofu than cheese despite living in a Dutch community for 20 years.
So any cheese expert in Bali, feel free to visit us to evaluate it, sure you'll also get Rp. 2000 air fried croissant for gratis. One thing that sure, the air here is better than Canggu or Kuta; and the water is amazing, our subak water is clearer than you pool.
