DON'T PANIC.... well, maybe a little bit.

Oh lovely. Does that mean those of us who had Sinovac will need to get another brand? If so, then it is going to be a nightmare for the vaccination program.
I am sure it is news they could have done without.

RIP to her though, she was obviously putting herself out 'there' for her work.

If you are worried you can get an antibody blood test done to check your levels.

Personally I am not too worried about. I am more worried about if it comes out saying that if you have had Sinovac, you need to get another two jabs from a different vaccine.

I have nothing, but respect for people like this and the people in healthcare. They are the real MVPs in all of this as they are at risk every single day.

Thanks for your enthousiastic replies ! 😆😆😆😆
I'll check it out on my laptop tmrw, too lazy to make posts of more than a few phrases on my phone.

Today will be the day that Indonesia finally goes above South Africa in the Worldometer table for total Covid deaths. It has been in 17th place continuously since late last year, but today it will finally go up to 16th place. It's a big step up then to Poland in 15th place but the way things are going Indonesia might make it all the way into the top 10.

I personally believe that Indonesia is already in the top ten for two reasons: the government underreporting the numbers and the amount of remote areas where cases probably go unreported.

Non vaccinated people are now officially second class citizens, with less rights than the vaccinated ...

Sorry boys and girls, this can not be right whatever the argument in favor of the vaccine or "health pass"

Now I understand the commercial aspect for the cruise lines, but still ethically it is wrong and we are drifting far away from democracy and "everybody is equal".
Nudists are second class citizens too I suppose, businesses routinely reject naked people from visiting their stores and offices.

Pfizer wants a third jab. If we are supposed to keep getting vaccines for every variant, then this is becoming like the flu shot. Where will it end?

I have come to answer your question.

I think the point is that it won't end, as it is now endemic. I read something somewhere that our grandchildren's grandchildren will still be getting Covid, however by then it should just be like getting a cold (a bit like 1919 Spanish Flu still goes around in a mild form). At what point it stops causing significant death and long covid, is something we don't know the answer to yet (hopefully it will happen this decade).

There is a path to end the virus.

Remember smallpox? Neither do I. This was a much more dangerous virus with about 30% fatality rate, but it went extinct in nature back in the 80s due to near universal immunization. Back then people knew that viruses were real killers and vaccines were lifesavers. Everybody that I know in my generation has been vaccinated for it.

Today there are too many assholes and morons that the same level of vaccination seems to be a remote dream. Despite vaccines being available within every mile, less than 50% of people in USA have been vaccinated. Consequently about 99% of covid death here is among those not vaccinated.

The unvaccinated population gives the virus room to grow and mutate, so it becomes more dangerous over time. The cycle will continue until herd immunity is achieved and maintained, either through vaccines or surviving infections.

Ok, now it's time to panic:

COVID-19 Endothelial Dysfunction Can Cause Erectile Dysfunction: Histopathological, Immunohistochemical, and Ultrastructural Study of the Human Penis

Conclusions: Our study is the first to demonstrate the presence of the COVID-19 virus in the penis long after the initial infection in humans. Our results also suggest that widespread endothelial cell dysfunction from COVID-19 infection can contribute to ED.

Idiotic answer, but I am not surprised .....
And you complain of being targeted personally? If you throw offensive statements like this, don’t cry of “nobody respects my free speech”. Don’t play with fire if you can’t handle the heat.

Anybody can say something is idiotic, but only a smart guy can elaborate why it’s idiotic. Can you logically explain why it’s idiotic?

If you were being funny or "tongue in cheek", you forgot to add the Smiley. Otherwise Nimbus would reasonably see this as a personal insult. (And maybe so even with a smiley added. )

Perhaps we could inject it in to some users in here to help them quit the pissing contests?

How did they think to even study this? My cynical side wonders whether Pfizer funded the study - not because of its vaccines, but because of its pre-covid blockbuster drug (hint: a little blue pill)

Not even tried. His post was completely off topic and ridiculous.
Same as he had said "to walk on the moon you need a cosmonaute suit"

But at least that would look more serious...

No smiley deserved on that one.

WTF has this to do with the subject.

You were pretending that requiring people to have a vaccine before accessing facilities is some sort of unreasonable discrimination. Nimbus gave you an example of how people are already required to meet certain criteria (being willing to wear clothes) before accessing facilities. It seems to be pretty clearly on topic.

Personally, I'd sooner dine with the nudists than those who refuse the vaccine.
