Demonstrations planned against ... Coldplay?

Living in Indonesia, where the government is canning gays, made you conditioned for human right abuses as something acceptable.
Apart from Aceh when or where was the last place or time you saw any canning of gays?
Actually they are tolerated here a lot. Look at every TV show presented by gay flamboyant host
Or fashion designers. All feted. Ivan. Harry. Etc.
Every major tv show here is fronted by a gay

Aceh is an exception

He didn't do anything for human rights. If he was quoted accurately, he knows no adjective other than 'fucking' so he's inarticulate, which is an indicator of stupidity. Another sign of low intelligence is pulling a poorly thought out stunt with negative ramifications for many others, like he just did.
His comments show disdain for others' views and feelings and that he is his only concern.
That's why.

And he took the money first too. So not like he donated his fee to LGBTQ
Or mentioned in the press conference
Or wore pink

No. He got drunk and made an ass of himself

There's polite dignified respectful ways to protest and draw attention to a cause

Aceh is part of Indonesia, and Aceh govenment is part of the Indonesian government system, ergo, gays are canned in Indonesia. Nobody of the above mentioned cannot declare himself openly as a gay. In Malaysia homosexualism is punisable up to 20 years in prison, fact more widely known after this guy's kissed his buddy on the stage.

No person speak about the "slavery in 15 states in the USA", but always mentions "slavery in the USA", so that argument "only in Aceh", does not hold.

I dont think he had any skin in the game - the promoters are screwed, he loses a small bit of cash from obscure asian countries he never bothered to look up before accepting bookings (in places that are famously anti-LGBT rights).
Taiwan obv just didnt want a drunk egomanic on the stage - they are quite LGBT friendly.

He obviously made a point for you - but few else seem to have got to where you are.
And as gemima suspected earlier, Malaysia's LGBT community is not happy with this stunt

To be honest that guy is weird, clearly a druggie, confused sexuality, thinks he's a mega star but his band isn't that big - definitely B or C list. Could anyone name one of their songs? Plus his mother Denise Welch is a real piece of work, constantly in and out of the tabloids in the UK.

In Bali can walk down the street in a bikini chomping on some fresh lechon pork belly and ribs sipping a beer.
Try that in Aceh

It's all Indonesia right?

Maybe they have the old ECW cane Dewey in mind.

Sounds like personal experience.

One of the interesting acts touring Bali and Jakarta is Jim Jeffries. How is this even possible? I love the guy but his previous performances have mocked the Koran, included the act of 'docking' (which I won't go into detail here), drugs and alcohol.

Do not just see Coldplay from LGBT point of view. This is their real contribution to Indonesian Environmental Problems.

Capable of accommodating 6 TONS of rubbish per day, Coldplay ship begins trials

I wonder where are the Indonesian Conglomerates, billionaires who have much money. Moreover they are the major contributors to the Indonesian environmental destruction. Just look at here what they have done:

Where are the outspoken religious scholars and preachers who are known for their radical views? Are they not inclined to tackle environmental issues, that killed people or have they been silenced with money ??

In Indonesia it is not uncommon people just dump their trashes, rubbishes in the canals, rivers. It is also helped by the fact that many of the canal are open construction, make it easy for the fly-tippers to just throw their trashes to the canals/rivers. It is cultural problem, that might take time to change it using educational program.
