4/11, 25/11 and 2/12 anti-Ahok demonstrations

Since so many people are not allowed to vote yesterday, how could the result even be considered official? Can't somebody at least request some kind of recount or at least additional voting of those people previously unaccounted for?

Partai Demokrat is slowly becoming irrelevant. It is after all a party built on the SBY cult of personality, and that personality has recently been roundly ridiculed for bizarre tweets and whining. They will not side with PDI-P because of SBY clashing with another personality, namely that of Megawati, due to the latter seeing SBY as betraying her by running for President in 2004. SBY will also have a difficult time to ally with Prabowo's Gerindra, due to animosity between SBY and Prabowo going back to their military academy days. They will probably end up sitting this one out, similar to how they are not in a coalition with anyone in the DPR.

What is more interesting is where the rest of the parties that supported Agus will go. There is PKB, PAN and half of PPP (the other half already supporting Ahok). All three are parties based on Islam, so for any of them to cross over to Ahok would be a great coup. If Ahok manages this, his victory is all but certain. If all three ally themselves with Anies however, then the math becomes quite difficult for Ahok.

That would only be if they all aligned with Anies. Ahok will need less of them then Anies needs and if you take into consideration that many people not allowed to vote last time will be able to this time, (I hope), then Ahok could pull this out. It has been shown that just because you are Muslim or side with a Muslim Party doesn't mean you will vote Muslim for sure. Look at the FPI's HQ voting area.
 
Unbelievable....
Jakpost today....."after a re-count at polling station 1 in Utan Panjang, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, on Sunday. Anies secured 134 votes, while Ahok and Agus trailed in second and third place with 104 votes and 15 votes, respectively.

Previously, in the Feb. 15 election, Ahok was thought to have secured 198 votes, while Anies and Agus received 177 votes and 62 votes, respectively.

The Sunday re-count was organized after the Jakarta Elections Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) uncovered irregularities at the polling station.
Only 257 voters cast their votes on Sunday out of 601 registered voters."

Only 257 people voted yet the first count resulted in 437 votes in total......monyets counting the votes?

Yaya, playing both sides of the fence.

Anyway, better avoid the Palace, Monas, Istiqlal etc. on Tiga Satu Tiga (the press evens adopts that ridiculous slogan). Police expects 20.000 people and wants to avoid a long march but some 'optimists' talk about 100.000 and they plan to walk from mosque to DPR. Approx. 2.500 people have arrived in Jakarta as we speak.

Isn't it amazing all these Muslims are so terrified of one little Chinese Christian gentleman, I expect most don't come from jakarta anyway

Anybody hear anything about the continuing saga........ 4/11, 25/11, 2/12....maybe a stop at a 7/11 for some beverage and on to 31/3 now?
 
To be consistent, they probably will propose 41/4 as next date.

Hell on the road now but it's a Friday afternoon and raining a bit so it might be completely unrelated. Rather small amount of protesters this time it seems.
 
Prior it was Fitsa hats. This is where Habib Novel, Secretary General FPI, worked and then for Habib Rizieq it became Firza hots.
 
It's rather comical that all these nut case Islamist followers can rally en mass to want Ahok to be jailed even though he is not serving as Governor right now, has been at every summon and court, and has never been a flight risk all the while being completely quiet on the e-KPT case and now the PAL case. Corruption and waist of money, their money doesn't seem to concern them. I wouldn't call that good Muslims or good anyone for that case.
 
It's a shame we didn't get today's weather yesterday; it's raining cats and dogs now.

What the articles don't mention, is that the 2 AM arrests were made at the Kempinski hotel. Quite some comments in the local press and on Fb: The people were asleep on the floor at the mosque, but the leaders....
 
hopefully some of these wankers will "slip on a bar of soap" while in custody :)
