Article 159
(1) Re-Entry Permits ... are granted with the following provisions:

(1) The application for a new Re-Entry Permit is submitted by ... attaching:
a. Valid Passport; and
b. ITAP.
(3) Delivery of the issuance of a virtual Re-Entry Permit for ITAP is carried out within a maximum period of 3 working days after fee payment is received.

The new fee schedule " December 2024 " now shows an Unlimited Merp for 8juta . So it should be valid for life the same as the Unlimited Kitap . Berlaku Tidak Terbatas / Unlimited .

If you've already got your Ktp and KK these will also have to be updated , the fee for the update and issue of new Kitap and KK was 300,000rp last time I looked . I've got passport renewal in June , 6juta (Australian) + detail changes 500,000rp + Ktp and KK updates 300,000rp then Kitap renewal in 12 months , 23 juta for the unlimited + Ktp and KK updates again 300,000rp . It's never ending , think your finally through all the hoops and they change the rules/laws to keep the $$ rolling in .

In my view, the time to get a new MERP/Re-Entry Permit has no relation with the time to do the 5 years report . If I was to decide , I would allow you to get it whenever you wanted , but Immigration may say that you should wait until your present MERP expires .

It's your passport details your updating / changing not the NIK . The KK shows both your passport and kitap numbers as well as the NIK so it would have to be updated and a new KK issued . The KTP doesn't show your passport number but would more than likely have it recorded against your KTP in there system so it possibly would also have to be updated even if you don't need a new card . Unfortunately the different offices Imigrasi and Duduk SIpil don't seem to share data .

My re-entry permit expired Jul-2025 and my itap expired Jul-2028 and my passport expired Dec-2030. I saw the lastest re-entry permit fee 5jt for 2 years and 8jt for 5 years, is this correct?
and if I do take the 5 years option, will it continue when I extend itap in 2028, or I have to do another merp?

No, the 8 juta is for an unlimited version. IMK / MERP can never be longer than the stay permit.

As per the Regulation in post no.1 above : "In the event that the Re-Entry Permit (for ITAP) ... has expired, it may be re-applied for with a validity period of 2 years and not exceeding the validity period of the ITAP."
So I suppose you will not be offered the 5 years option .

MERP/MREP is now IMK? i wanted to renew my re-entry stamp and now found that its all online now. I today created guarantor account (my wife). Now confused there are new terms like ITK/IMK.

1. What is IMK is it same?
2. How long it takes guarantor account approves?
3. Any new rule for staying outside Indonesia for KITAP holders? before it was like can not stay more than a year. (coming back once a year)
4. IMK is Multiple ? Like Multiple re-entry permit? because no idea what is pronounce

Yes . IMK (Izin Masuk Kembali) or Re-Entry Permit , in English .

Now confused there are new terms like ITK/IMK.

ITK as Izin Tinggal Kunjungan/Visit Stay Permit was used for a long time .
ITK as Izin Tinggal Keimigrasian/Immigration Stay Permit seems to be used too .

I may have to return to Aus towards the end of the year and as my passport will by then only have five months validity I am looking at renewing my Aus passport sooner than later. I presume I will have to take the new passport to immigration. The Bali office off the Ngurah Rai Bypass is handy so inclined to go there although I see that it seems immigration is now trying to have all visa and Merp applications done on line even thought apparently most people have a hard time trying to go through the process. I will also apply for the unlimited Merp as my old one expired.. My “permanent Kitap” does not require reporting until June 2028. I have a “permanent” Kitap card and have the stamp in my present passport.

I suspect one will have to also have all the documents that were used in making the previous “permanent” Kitap application even though all this stuff should be in the Imm computer system. Logic would suggest that the passports, new and old, would be adquate for the above purpose. But then, like most bureaucracies world wide, document requirements have nothing to do with logic.

I wonder if anyone has had recent dealings with the Bali Immigration office at Ngrurah Rai Bypass and would appreciate any relevant information. Thanks in anticipation of a response.

2. One day only. Just like the approval of refusal of the request btw.
3. No. Duration of MERP/IMK has nothing to do with period you can stay out of the country. There is even an ‘unlimited MERP’.
4. The Single re-entry permit (SERP) was abolished quite some time ago.

What is relevant, is that you won’t deal with staff in the immigration office anymore. All online via the eVisa system. See the other thread.

Don’t forget your KK also changes so you do need to visit the CatSip.

From what I understood from the people who already did online process , we first upload what the system asks , if they don't approve within around 2 weeks , we need to go to Kantor Imigrasi and they will request to upload additional + former already uploaded documents , in a single pdf file .

even though all this stuff should be in the Imm computer system.

They certainly have paper copies but I guess they have not uploaded everything in their system yet (and probably they will just wait us do it) .
