Some New Immigration Fees

Not positive but if I remember form 25 is for the Merp . I was told by the local office here that I couldn't get the KTP and KK until I had the Kitap then I had 14 days to apply for them or I could face a fine if I didn't have them when asked , yet others on Kitas already have it , some saying they got them with there first Kitas . I'm 3 years into my 5 year Kitap and still haven't got them due to misinformation and computer problems at local and regional offices . i get yearly visits from the Kepala Desa and Police Chef and have never been asked about or had to show them .
Ouch! This sounds like a nightmare situation. I have had the Kitas for five years and never needed to show or use a KTP, or KK. I am not going to work, I am retired! How ridiculous! They say you have to have them to get the Kitap, then tell you, that you can't get them without the Kitap?
Hello, is anybody home? I am going to delete my SMS to my agent, asking if I need these documents! He didn't mention I needed them to get my Kitap, so I trust him more than all these Posts! Thanks for all the advice, But, No Thanks for the Madness! 👍🤷🏼‍♂️🙏❤️🤪✌️🥳
Cuckcoo! Cuckoo! 🤪🤷🏼‍♂️🙈

... I am inclined to think it would be prudent to apply for the unlimited MERP ... Is it likely I might be able to get the unlimited MERP and at what cost?
I don't know if it is likely , but if not you should not worry as it seems you can request it online (see below) . The fee for the unlimited time Re-Entry Permit is Rp8 million .
I imagine that I ought take all the documents I used when applying for "permanent" Kitap. Should I expect difficulties? Appreciate thoughts.
Now you need only the KITAP + passport (see below) and it is probably easy .

... Are foreigners with the Kitap really required to have the KTP and KK?
Yes . But never heard of anybody getting in trouble by not having them .
I am applying for my 5 year Kitap this month, and my agent didn't say anything about all of this?
Because KK & KTP WNA are not from Immigration and usually are not included in the visa agents' package/price .

As I think I have said before, it sometimes seems that it is universal for immigration departments everywhere to make the processes as confusing and as difficult as possible ...
In Indonesia's Immigration defense , I disagree .

It was very difficult/bureaucratic in the past , but nowadays Indonesian Immigration improved a lot and I think they provide a reasonable to good service .

What is form 25? Are foreigners with the Kitap really required to have the KTP and KK? I am applying for my 5 year Kitap this month, and my agent didn't say anything about all of this?
If you want to follow the law then yes, you are required to have a KTP and KK with a KITAP because you change from temporary resident to permanate resident. A KTP and KK can be acquired from your CatSip but not until after you have your KITAP. After each KITAS you went to CatSip to aquire your SKTT so after a KITAP you go to the same CatSip and apply for KTP and KK. Same amount of trips as before.

... I couldn't get the KTP and KK until I had the Kitap then I had 14 days to apply for them or I could face a fine if I didn't have them when asked ,
Fines in these cases are regulated by each city , but never heard anybody paying fine for : late request or not having them .
yet others on Kitas already have it ...
This is the first time I hear that foreigners with KITAS got KTP and KK WNA .

KITAS holder by Law has to request a SKTT/Surat Keterangan Tempat Tinggal , which is a kind of identity card too .

... I have had the Kitas for five years and never needed to show or use a KTP, or KK ... am going to delete my SMS to my agent, asking if I need these documents! He didn't mention I needed them to get my Kitap, so I trust him more than all these Posts! ...
You better not trust anybody , but check yourself valid laws or regulations .

Article 61
(4) KK is issued and given by the Kantor Catatan Sipil to Indonesian Citizens and Foreigners who have a KITAP .

The office near me told me that I can't get the KTP OA and KK until after the Kitap. But I know you can get a drivers license and motorcycle in your own name with a Kitas as long as you have the SKTT (this has your NIK number on it)
Yeah got my licence 6 months after I moved here . All they wanted was copies of the Kitas and my Australian licence . I was given a 5 year licence even though the system stated that it would only be valid for the same period as the kitas . Have renewed it since with no questions . I own a motor vehicle and 2 motorbikes , had to register them in my wifes name even though she had no licence . I couldn't register them in my name until I had the Kitap and KTP & KK .

I have "permanent" Kitap and am due to report july 2028 and MERP valid until March 2026. My Aus passport expires in March 2026. I am planning a trip in October this year so will renew my passport late August as one must have six months validity left on a passport. I will then go to Immigration to ask that MERP be stamped into the new passport. I am inclined to think it would be prudent to apply for the unlimited MERP just in case something came up that made me extend my time away. Is it likely I might be able to get the unlimited MERP and at what cost? I imagine that I ought take all the documents I used when applying for "permanent" Kitap. Should I expect difficulties? Appreciate thoughts.
There is now a 500,000rp fee for change of details . New passport details , change of address etc etc The Unlimited Merp is 8juta going by the new fee schedule . Shouldn't be a problem if you've already got the permanent/unlimited Kitap but you may have to wait until your current Merp expires before they will allow you to apply for the unlimited Merp .
