What's the Expected Import Tax for Motorcycle Parts and Accessories ?

Hi Guys ,

I am thinking of buying / shipping from overseas to Indonesia ...,

- Various Aftermarket Motorcycle Parts & Accessories

I want to know what the expected IMPORT DUTIES would be ?

I intend to spruce up a motorcycle that is already in Indonesia for personal use only - using these various imported parts and accessories which are not available to buy locally.

EG:

- Rear shock absorber
- Front fork upgraded parts
- Motorcycle panniers and Rack
- Assorted Levers, Cables, Chain, and other engine parts
- Motorcycle seat,
- 12 volt electrical Motorcycle accessories

One such order is a kit made up of many of the above parts for an price near to ￡2000
The other part may be in smaller kit form of purchased individually.

I do know that items under USD $100 (incl shipping) are Duty Free, but I need to budget for the stuff over USD $100 ..., thx

Next to the VAT of 10% or so, it depends on what type of item of course.

What you are looking for, is the HS code. The customs have published lists with these standardized codes and the % you would be charged. Car and motorcycle parts should not generate too many discussions.
