Massive bombing of areas such as Gaza with a dense civilian population is unquestionably terrible. It seems humans are incapable of resolving conflict without war and all its concomitant horrors. With the intensity of this present argument we might remember that the bombing of Dresden by Britain and America was more revenge than strategic. 25,000 died. The fire bombing raids over Tokoyo led to 100,000. And then we move on to nuclear warfare.
The First World War was the war to end all wars. The Stockholm International Peace Research Institute estimates the number of people killed in wars since World War I is between 180 and 200 million. This includes both military personnel and civilians.
When does God conclude that the creation of humans is a failed experiment?
