Targeting deliberately civilians is a crime.

Hamas deliberately targetets civilians all the time -rocketing indiscriminately all these years. Israel targets primary military targets-at least that is what they say. Victims would be cynically called "collateral damage". Despite this, there is no moral equivalency-at least for now.

Allies bombed Dresden in WW2. Many civilians died, and nobody was asking nor would allow for humanitarian convoy to pass.

So according to you @Hawk256 how you would defend yourself in you are Israeli? Arab countries waged three wars against Israel that they lost. Palestinians refused the two state solution several times.

Gaza is self-governing and they got billions of dollars of foreign help last 15 years. What they succeeded is to make the place a terrorist state suffocating in poverty, spent the money on weapons, instead of being a new Singapore.

Take the global War on Terror, 4.5 thousand lives lost on 9/11 compared to 4.5 million lives lost in the aftermath. Is that the kind of trade you are looking for? That is a good question! Obviously not until we completely destroy all the LIFE, clean water, trees, air, and then these idiots pray to their various Gods! Give me a break! It will be funny when the Earth is Crumbling and all the stupid Humans pray to their different Gods and ask for forgiveness!

One of the ways Israel removes palestinians from land and homes they have owned for generations, is by requiring them to prove that they legally own it. Either by deed or title or whatever. Since many don't have that, they use this as an easy trick to clear an area of Palestinians.

Now, in this context, if you say that Jews are pretty well documented the last 3.000 years. What are their proves of ownership, what exact areas and exact plots of land were owned by jews in the past and do they have any titles or deeds that show succession from then till now. So they can prove that these plots of land and other real estate haven't been sold to non-jews, or they have been given away or abandoned or...

... if you want to play that game.
