USA Debt & Deficit Going Out of Control?

Well, I have one new card that is giving 2% back on all purchases. No forex fees. And then 0% interest rate for 18 months.
I pay off credit card balances every month, except for the 0% interest deal. Too many people dig themselves a huge financial hole by carrying balances. Especially with 20-28% apr interest.
As I noted in Post #19, anyone with basic financial sense wouldn't pay off balance every month if it is a 0% promotional creditcard , though some here seem to disagree. People could definitely agree or disagree on something, but if you aren't being charged interest during the promotional period, paying it off early makes no sense.

These 0% credit card deals like a recent 26-month offer (attached) are still available in other countries if you wait for the right opportunity to capitalise on the arbitrage.

It’s ideal for major expenses like furnishing, or home renovations. By charging these costs to the credit card, making only the mandatory minimum monthly payments, and placing the reserved cash into a high-yield, easy-access savings account, you can clear the balance at the end of the 26 months while keeping all the accumulated interest.

Of course, this strategy strictly requires the discipline not to touch those saved funds. This is 0% APR arbitrage, so with discipline, you will definitely make money.
