I think Ryan is far more likely to be the next candidate, he has enough national exposure now.
I sincerely hope so. I really do.

Ryan vs. Clinton, battle of the nerds.
Romney is definitely not his friend, despite belonging to the same party. He is the most famous guy in the "Never Trump" movement.
Yes but the economy will play a big factor. Ryan knows his way around a spreadsheet very well and I believe he has fixes that will work. He can attack the deficit and not cause too many problems. Tough to defeat a sitting president but Hillary will be 72 then and who knows what her health may be. Another factor, home grown terrorist or a bigger attack from outside.
The only way at the moment to fix the deficit is to raise taxes and close tax loopholes for corporations and the rich. If Ryan even hints at any of those, he'll be labeled a RINO and will lose the primary to a Tea Party candidate.
And the hits keep on coming. Here is audio from a video of Donald talking about dating a 10 year old girl in 10 years. Within earshot of said girl. Guy is keeps finding new lows I never thought possible.
I just can't get this image out of my head of Donald in the missionary position with one hand holding his comb-over in place
Two despicable candidates that will end up having a low voter turnout. So who will have the better ground game? Hillary despite all her problems has a united Democratic organization to get out the vote.
I think the turnout will be high. The white supremacists finally have a guy they can be passionate about. On the other side there were reports that citizenship applications were up, as minorities with permanent residency try to vote this time just to say no to Donald. You really think voter turn-out will be low? My guess (based on nothing but gut feeling; maybe I'm wrong) is that it will be pretty high. However, I could imagine an unusually high number of votes going to Johnson or Stein, and/or people voting for their Congresscritters but leaving the presidential slot blank.
However things go, there is going to be a lot to talk about on November 9.
I think the turnout will be high.
