This a subject, that should be more in the hands of Women to decide! All these old Men and Women trying to control younger Women, that may be Poor, Abused, Beaten, Raped, is an outrage! The older people don't want to take, and raise these unwanted children! This World is far too overcrowded, already! I say give the Women of the World, more control with this Subject! We shouldn't be forcing overpopulation, due to Archaic Religious beliefs! It is a crime to force Women to give birth, and bring these unwanted children, into a world of Poverty, Hunger, Abuse, lack of Education!

The world is not overpopulated. We have a problem when it comes to distribution of wealth. Sure, poverty and all of what you mentioned are problems but not because of the overpopulation of the earth.

When it comes to abortion I can understand both sides, but I wouldn't wanna force someone to do or not do an abortion. For me, life begins somewhere and that is pretty early. But anyway, it's an endless discussion that I don't wanna lead. Again, I wouldn't force anyone to do or not to do an abortion.

No matter where we were to draw the line in the sand or how well we thought we did, not everyone would be happy. Two sides at opposite ends wanting the extreme of either view. IMO this is a subject that defintley needs some middle thinkers invovled. I also can't help but think that if we weren't talking about the volume of abortions as we currently see that people would be a little more open to sitting down at the table and reasonably working this out.

And compare that with the fact that 70% of conceptions are naturally aborted (source). If people cared so much about saving every conceived life, I would think they would be spending billions on researching and improving that number.

Again, for me it's all a big circus. I can only repeat myself, the rise of the right didn't come out of nowhere or happened in one day. People like Von der Leyen are also responsible for it, the BS of the past leads to the present we live in now.

And yeah it's always nice and good to fight against the ultra right. But you shouldn't do that with simply calling everyone and everything a Nazi. Again, the political decisions of the past lead us to where we are now. You can call out the right for whatever you want, but as long as you don't make better politics and try to erase the mistakes that created the rise of the right (which by now is nearly impossible, if it ever was possible anyway), nothing will change.

It's obvious that you have your thoughts on the subject but I think most people if they looked the numbers would at at least question them somewhat.. Like I said nobody will be 100% happy no matter how the arguement turns out.

This fact alone seems to be telling of something wrong. "In 2021, there was roughly one abortion for every five newborn children in the US." If that number is fine with you, then no problem. I personally think it points to a problem that at least warrants some dicussion. If we were loosing that many conceived lives to any any other singe source, there would be outrage and people would demand an answer. We are talking about making a conscious choice to abort that life.

I don't know what the threshold is, but this is also a subject that is presented very one sided in a lot of media outlets. Sure it's easy to say that a big part of the world goes hungry because their governments can't feed them. On the other side, food gets thrown away in masses. So can we feed all people? Yes we could and even more than we have now. I read that even currently we could feed 1.5 times the whole population and some say we could feed more. Same for housing, the thing snpark said isn't wrong, there are several examples for that. IF EVERYONE on this planet could live in a 1000m2 Villa like a king is another question. The question is if good life can only be seen as achieved if you can reach these standards.

So yeah, for now it surely is a problem of distribution of wealth and how our whole system is designed why people go hungry. Well I sound naive, but people are so smart, yet they still didn't find any better way to live with each other. Those are good points. Other aspects of population are resource usage, pollution, and landscape change. The more people there are and the higher the standard of living the more we deforest, mine, smelt, burn, farm, dam rivers, dump waste, etc., none of which in excess are really good for Earth or our quality of life.
