Yes, it seems the final straw came when Tillerson had the audacity to support US ally the UK and call out Russia over the recent poisoning of a Russian ex-spy in Salisbury. Of course, he also called Trump a 'fucking moron' last summer (not to be confused with Gary Cohen, the outgoing chief economic adviser, who called Trump 'dumb as shit'), so I suppose that didn't win any brownie points from the psycho in chief. I also cannot wait for the final episode...
 
But wait! Stop the presses! The House of Representatives Intel Committee reports it finds no evidence to suggest the Trump Campaign colluded with the Russians. Boy, am I glad that's settled.

I agree....in the beginning I thought this was a witch-hunt, or revenge for what the GOP did to impeach Clinton, but there is so much repudiation I now think there is something else causing this tumult....and dafluff may have the answer.....blackmail!

I sincerely hope they find that out and put this sloth in jail and deny him his fortune.

I'm reminded of Queen Gertrude replying to Hamlet ..."The lady doth protest too much...methinks" .....may be as appropriate today as it was then.
 
It appears that the Democrats have won Pennsylvania by a thin margin....even after Trump went there to tell the electors, overwhelmingly Republican supporters, to vote GOP.
They must be wondering it their leader is actually their worst enemy and bar him from stumping for any more Congressional seats before November.

That district went to Trump by +20 points in 2016, so if these trends hold (see also Alabama Senate Special election, or Kentucky 49th HD special election), the blue wave could actually materialize in the 2018 mid-term elections. Provided Dotard Trump hasn't started nuclear war yet because of Twitter.

Side note: The PA special election arose because Republican Representative Tim Murphy resigned amid revelations that he had an extramarital affair and persuaded his mistress to have an abortion. The Republican candidate in the AL election, Roy Moore, was accused of sexual misconduct by 9 women, some of whom were minors (even by AL hillbilly standards, 16 years age of consent) at the time. The KY special election occurred because the Republican Dan Johnson, committed suicide after it was revealed he allegedly assaulted a 17 year old girl at his church.

Or as Trump would say "The best people!".
 
The whole Trump saga is becoming the best soapie I have ever watched on TV. Most morning I get up and watch the Australian news and switch to Anderson Cooper on CNN at 8.00am. However, they have brought forward Anderson to 7.00am on CNN. This morning I got up at 7.00 am and had the choice of my home country news or the Trump soap.

I choose CNN and will continue to watch the Trump soapie over repetitive Australian news. Where else can you get a ridiculous situation comedy happening every day which has a new plot emerging by the hour and not just by the day.

It appears he is likely to sack a number in his cabinet this week so i cant wait for the next episode.

Sad really and yes I should get a life.
 
I'm not an Ozzie so never watch news from there unless significant and we don't get any Canadian TV news.
All the American stations, including Al Jazeera, BBC and others seem to be fixated on the Trump Soap Opera and, I confess, I'm also hooked.
So Brian, you aren't alone...there must be many of us similarly obsessed and should get a life.....:grouphug:
 
It may be that the relative time changed between Australian news and CNN's Anderson Cooper, because the USA just ended daylight savings time.

Incidentally, the Pennsylvania 18th Congressional District was gerrymandered to such an extent (illegally, according to the federal bench) that a box of rocks with an (R) in front of the name could have won. The combination of a poor candidate pick by the Pennsylvania Republicans and the self-aggrandizing support of Trump erased what was thought to be an insurmountable lead.
 
Just read that Potus has proposed stationing USA troops around the Mexican border until his wall is built.
To give credit where due IMO this is an excellent idea.
Instead of troops practicing in a sterile area why not utilize them in the desert areas in the south. This could give a realistic war experience.....also, Helicopters and Ospreys could be better utilized as realistic observation platforms to pinpoint those illegals much like an enemy infiltrating a garrison.
Sounds like a good idea to second the military but the management and mission has to be clearly defined.... and training should be secondary.

Edit: Sorry everyone that has already read...I meant training should be PRIMARY and not, as I said above.... secondary.

Does sound like not a bad idea but I would wonder if war would be declared between the US and Mexico given that the aircraft would constantly impinge on Mexican air space and having troops on the border would be seen as an act of aggression by many countries. Just wondering!.

Mexico ushering the illegals through their own territory can be seen as act of aggression by US side as well. Where do we go from here?
 
Seems that Trump didn't mean the military per se. He was advised under USA law the military are prevented from being used within USA. So he now says he meant the National Guard...which is nothing new as they have been used numerous times to support other agencies.

I was envisaging using the border-areas as training-ground for the military and simultaneously providing some disincentive for crossing illegals.
I recall driving thru' the back-roads of Oregon and being in the middle of war-games...they were practicing for the invasion of Iraq. Apparently I had missed a sign and was quickly escorted out, which I was sure glad to do, as tanks and howitzer guns kept crossing the road in front of me..... oblivious to my little Honda minivan with Canadian licence plates.:canada:
 
Maybe now Trump has talked himself into a corner.
There is footage of him saying he knew nothing about the contract that his lawyer gave a porn-star $130,000. This throws his lawyer under the bus as he said he wrote the contract on behalf of his client. Thus the porn-star's lawyer concludes there can be no contract under contract law as one party to the contract was unaware of it's existence!
Trump's lawyer could face disbarment for issuing an illegal contract and the porn-star is getting ready to tell-all...at least more than she has already disclosed to assert her affair with Trump...which he denies.
This serial comedy-drama has more twists and turns than Scandal and Empire put together.
 
The Stormy Affair is interesting tabloid news, but the real story that involves possible felonies is where that money came from. There's a good chance (link) that it came directly from campaign funds, and there's also a good chance it wasn't the only time Trump laundered money through the campaign. I hope that has become a part of Mueller's investigation, or perhaps he has just passed those findings on to the relevant State's Attorney Generals so they can prosecute Trump if he pardons himself from the federal crimes.
