The ongoing Trump saga

"We are not in a trade war." So says Trump and his minions, but the Dow went down almost 600 points (2.34%) today.

The Stormy Affair is interesting tabloid news, but the real story that involves possible felonies is where that money came from. There's a good chance (link) that it came directly from campaign funds, and there's also a good chance it wasn't the only time Trump laundered money through the campaign. I hope that has become a part of Mueller's investigation, or perhaps he has just passed those findings on to the relevant State's Attorney Generals so they can prosecute Trump if he pardons himself from the federal crimes.

The money trail is the key......but Trump's lawyer already stated he personally funded the $130,000 by a 2nd mortgage on his house...right! But Trump says he knows nothing about it so now the lawyer is totally humiliated and naked to the law for donating funds above the acceptable legal limit to a campaign (if proven)....or looking like a damn fool who mortgaged his house to give to a porn-star because he admires his billionaire client so much...pleeeeeze!

Bill Clinton's impeachment was on the basis that he attempted to cover-up about his sexual relationship and lied. Nixon's 'almost' impeachment was on the basis that he attempted to cover-up his involvement with Watergate and lied. I predict Trump's attempt to cover-up and lie will 'trump' both those cover-ups.
Who cares that his campaign team and members of his family are traitors...he'll throw them under the bus to glorify his personal ego and the world will still turn daily.... but without USA at the centre of power...

Where can I buy one?

Early this morning the FBI raided the office, home and hotel diggs of Michael Cohen, the President's personal lawyer. Things are coming to a head.

Thanks Waarmstrong...
I woke-up to this news but still cannot get my head around whether this has something to do with the Russian case or simply about the Stormy case.
I cannot believe the FBI, and the USA justice system, would go to that extent to prove a sex-scandal......or would they?

If sex IS the titillating factor this will soon die as the Cosby sex-scandal case is re-opening....cannot wait to hear Gloria Allred again.....NOT!

It's not about sex. To get a search warrant in these circumstances requires convincing a federal judge that credible evidence of criminal activity will be found and there is no other way to secure the evidence.

My clearer understanding, from the news reports, is this is to investigate money transactions that Trump's lawyer may have illegally conducted on Trump's behalf.
The Trump apologists want to combine the two and blame Meuller..... but it's obvious he just passed on information of a possible crime by Trump's lawyer as any citizen would be obliged to do under law. This has nothing to do with the Russian investigation.
Trump is seen at a meeting with his arms crossed in a 'reality-show' of anger dishing all those who are against him as a biased witch-hunt....yet nearly all the participants are Republicans or appointees by Trump himself.

A key legal issue at the heart of the Cohen raid is whether the hush money payment to Stormy Daniels constituted a violation of Federal Election Law, since it was intended to influence the outcome of the election. If so, this would be a felony and Cohen likely disbarred at a minimum and potentially jailed. If Dumpster knew about it or (please, please, please) authorized or even better ordered it, which could be established by the seized emails, then he could be on the hook as well. It's explained here: https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/do...be-election-law-violation-say-experts-n855336

One other thing: Cohen said he used a home equity loan to pay off Stormy Daniels. If he lied to the bank about the purpose of the loan, he could also be guilty of bank fraud, so he's looking at up to 30 years on that count alone... Couldn't happen to a nicer guy though.

I said in an earlier post I thought Trump had thrown his friend/lawyer (good guy) under the bus....it now looks like he slowly keel-hauled him under a container ship.

If Cohen is guilty of anything to do with Stormy, he's just ended his legal career at best (for him) and could spend time in prison at worst.
Either way, that makes Trump guilty of lying (and likely more).
If there was any dodgy dealing to do with the election (IF???????), there could be a lot worse to come for Trump.

Such TV pundit commentary is pretty much all speculation, bent in the direct of the commentator's political persuasion.

President Trump has just finished a speech to the nation. He confirmed that he has ordered a strike on Syria. He said it was a combined operation in coalition with France and United Kingdom.
I listened to his speech, on script, and for the first time was personally impressed. He sounded Presidential and he was clear about the mission.
For those who haven't seen his approx 6 min TV presentation I recommend to watch.

We know he can read from the Teleprompter. That is a small thing along side a mountain of knee-jerk, thoughtless, and untimely twitterings.

Also a brand new missile was used today. Could be following the same strategy as Russians by putting on display the new hardware for potential buyers.

He's hit Syria, but no one actually knows what he destroyed yet, except for the US presidency, the truth, reasonable behaviour ......

I could be wrong, but don't think the USA is likely to sell its latest military technology, the key word being "latest.". Still, it is common knowledge that our generals are always looking for opportunities to test their new devices under actual battlefield condition.

Israel will get it.
