The future and the role of Artificial intelligence.

I love those fake Tai Chi ads.

It seems they deliberately make these unbelievably crappy advts to appeal to an uncritical segement of the population who actually respond. It doesn't matter that the majority of people would see them as rubbish.

A very good target group is the real estate sector. It’s amazing what a simple AI improvement can do to a living room or terrace. And that does look real. Just try something in WA while selecting a picture; results are amazing.

Our son just told me there’s a word for it: ‘housefishing’.

I’m getting old.

The AI hardware/chips value chain, For those who are interested in observing the AI chips value chain which could be linked to investing opportunity. But the AI chips and foundries is just one layer/stack of the AIs, the others are e.g Energy, Infrastructure, Models, and Applications.

Understanding the value chain in investing is just one thing to see whether they deserve a premium price, but at the end, it will all come to the most important thing e.g the valuation.

"There are more rules in Australia that regulate opening a cafe or pouring a beer than for the operation of cutting-edge AI systems."

I like this quote above from a new ABC article about a rogue AI breaking out of its "safety net" and hacking another AI website. Quite ominous.

On a more mundane level, this morning I asked Google if Indonesians and Australians needed tourist visas to enter China. The first response said neither Indonesians or Australians need tourist visas if entering China before December 1 2026. Checking a little while later it said both Indonesians and Australians need visas.

I checked with the Chinese embassy in Jakarta and was advised that Australians have visa free tourist entry until December 1 2026. Indonesians need to apply for a visa.

As I have said and thought (myself) all along

It's all in a name

ARTIFICIAL intelligence implies fake not real etc etc

So I would never ever trust anything it says and always check things

If it was ALTERNATIVE then maybe

All it seems to me is to be able to do somethings faster and maybe make some amusing cartoons

But to ask it about important serious legal etc matters is just suicidal and then blame the computer later

Off topic but reminds me of the fact that in the good old US of A, more people have been arrested and charged for supposedly damaging the pool of reflection than anything anyone to do with Epstein files except the man himself and wasn't that for financial?

I mean, a 350 ft slit with a boxcutter in a 6' deep pool and then it turns out it was Trump's own limo driving on it that did the damage
