Post WW2 Australia had a program of free milk at school for school children. Most of us enjoyed drinking milk and grew into adults with the never ending assertion by the dairy industry about all the alleged great health benefits of drinking milk. A very successful strategy of public manipulation for commercial advantage. And now it appears that so much of that was just propaganda. Perhaps not on a par with distortions used by the tobacco industry and not as much risk but a sad reflection on how commerce overrides genuine public interest.
