Title : The State of Global Education, according to PISA , Sept 2026
By Andreas Schleicher, OECD Director for Education and Skills

... one would hope that educational attainment is going up... But .. Learning outcomes have stagnated or declined in many countries ...

Between 2015 and 2025, OECD countries have seen (PISA scores) : a 7-point decline (in science), .. In mathematics, a decline of 22 points .. Reading .. decline: 28 points ...

particularly concerning that large and significant declines .. have been observed in reading tasks that are the most essential for today’s world of artificial intelligence: Skills such as evaluating information, reflecting critically and integrating multiple pieces of evidence ... These trends are likely driven by ... digitalisation and screen use ...

The long-term declines in performance suggest deeper structural issues within education systems, ... Overall, the data suggest weaknesses in how education systems are adapting to social, technological and economic change ...

OECD average , year 2000 to year 2025 :

Naah, they are learning everything from Tiktok and F.B. now....

Anyway, we have A.I. now...it will do all the thinking for us ! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Just being cynical.
When I see comments in French on Youtube I am often shocked by the number of grammatical errors.
In English it tends to be much better as the language is easier (no male/female words, no accents, no complex verb conjugation)
