We lived more than 6 years in Egypt. Egypt is great place to have beautiful sunset and amazing sunrise.
Even, we have nice sunset at our neighborhood in New Cairo taken from our balcony

Worked in Cairo for 18 months in the early 80's on the 1st subway line.

With my "first life" heading to Alexandria for a weekend.

Baby was a few months old, but went about everywhere with us.

Notice my fancy ride ! Renault R4. We didn't need fancy 4x4 or aircon in those days. Don't think we even had seatbelts ....

that's an historical pic.
We frequently saw Renault R4, Peugeot 404 and Lada milling around in Cairo together with horses, donkeys and few Ram .... 1500 series

friends told me that Cairo subway is pretty nice; but never try it.

Next door to us, 4th floor penthouse, looks a bit like the Clampett’s cabin to me with the best view in town.

Maybe like in the Beverley Hillbillies granny got homesick so they went & got the old cabin for her.

Depending on the view, you might not want to spend so much time inside. Just add a very short hedge so you can walk around in boxers without the neighbors complaining... maybe some sort of arbor for shade and greenery... I could deal with the tiny house.
