Some New Immigration Fees

How about retirement visa cost? No spouse.
I understand they are doing this for a living, but charging 3 to 5 times the cost at immigration seems like we're getting gouged!
The fees have always been freely posted all over the net. Did you not look at the costs compared to how much an agent charges? That's on you. I haven't used an agent for a single thing since I have been here. Immigration tells you everything you need to do and you just get the paperwork they request. No magic involved. If you are here for a job and your employers pays for the agent, then this part is not directed at you. BTW I thought you were all for paying a high rate for Indonesian help since they are making a living or is that just when it doesn't involve you?

Nothing listed on the Director Generals fee schedule but Costs off Google search : 14.5 juta for 1 year and 46.5 juta for the 5 year "Golden Visa" if applying from O/Seas . Slightly cheaper if done in Indonesia . Agents are charging anything from 30-50 juta for the 1 year and 140 juta for the 5 year . You also have to invest a signifigant amount in Indonesia , have seen figures of 500 juta mentioned . Plus gaurantee of monthly income , 20 juta , +++++ a list of other cost . Getting Gouged , Getting Cleaned and Gutted I'd say .
Ah okay, I didn't know you have to pay even for leaving the country. Kind of strange

This topic has just recently caught my attention. I had not seen the cost directly from immigration, until someone just posted it. I have always used an agent since I was still on the sosbud visa. He is my sponsor and using him for my immigration needs seemed the easiest way to go. You say you have always done this on your own. Then who is your sponsor? Do you pay your sponsor? I bet you have an Indonesian wife, that deals with your immigration needs, and makes it easy for you!
I have always lived pretty far from Denpasar, so using an agent was the easiest route for me to go. They handled all the paperwork, and I only had to make one trip for the biometrics.
Yes, I am all for paying the Indonesians a fair rate of income. These rates being posted of what some agents are charging are not fair! They are exploitative!
You seem to take pleasure in giving me a hard time? This forum is a place where we all can express our opinions, and if we have it, our expertise on a subject. You seem to not like it if someone doesn't think like you, and you say mean spirited, and derogatory words, directed at that person.

I'm not sure what I said that was mean spirited or derogatory and hurt your feelings. I could care less if someone agrees with me or not but I'm too old to candy coat every statement. If you feel I have been unfair, then please feel free to report what I said to the admins. And BTW what the hell is that jpeg you attached? It appears to be outside my limited intellect. If you have something to say, just say it.

What is the exit only permit? In which situation do you need it?
Anyone with a Residence Permit (e-ITAS/KITAS or KITAP) who decides to leave Indonesia and not return or return with a new Visa , should request an Exit Only Permit/EPO .

Many foreigners in this situation had just left Indonesia , not knowing about the EPO . But by not getting the EPO may result in a denied future visa request until an equivalent permit ("ERP Tidak Kembali/ERP Not Return") is issued . It may be a big headache because this ERP Tidak Kembali requires some "hard to get" documents (see below) , and unless Immigration offers the process online , it has to be requested at the Immigration Office where the Residence Permit was issued .

Required documents for an ERP Tidak Kembali (from https://imigrasingurahrai.kemenkumh...rp-tidak-kembali/#1658366476221-eaf9e53c-05ae)
1). Application letter from the sponsor;
2). Photocopy of the sponsor's KTP;
3). Photocopy of the passport;
4). KITAS / KITAP;
5). IMTA and DPKK (original and photocopy) for Work KITAS / KITAP Work;
6). Photocopy of the Study Permit Approval Letter from the Ministry of Education and Culture *for Student KITAS;
7). Photo of exit stamp;
8). Photocopy of departure e-ticket

Just browsed a few visa agents and there fees for the Spouse Sponsored Unlimited Kitap . 40 - 59 juta !! 23 juta including Merp if you do it yourself ! And I bet an agent would charge you several juta again for the 5 year report .

Edit*
I was confused by the 23 juta thing then went back and looked and the fee thing and realized there is unlimited MERP and the new price for the unlimited Kitap.

I wonder if you can apply for unlimited your first go now or if you still have to complete the 5 year first.

As you said (in the other thread) that you have a KITAS now , you are not eligible for the unlimited time KITAP yet . You will be eligible at the end of the first KITAP .

I have "permanent" Kitap and am due to report july 2028 and MERP valid until March 2026. My Aus passport expires in March 2026. I am planning a trip in October this year so will renew my passport late August as one must have six months validity left on a passport. I will then go to Immigration to ask that MERP be stamped into the new passport. I am inclined to think it would be prudent to apply for the unlimited MERP just in case something came up that made me extend my time away. Is it likely I might be able to get the unlimited MERP and at what cost? I imagine that I ought take all the documents I used when applying for "permanent" Kitap. Should I expect difficulties? Appreciate thoughts.

Yes I'm sure you would be able to get the unlimited MERP. Probably you need to fill in form 25 and take the usual documents in original and copy (KTP, KK, Kitap, etc.). Would be interested to hear how it goes.

Thank you. I will post how it all turns out presumably some time in September.

I asked my agent what documents are required to apply for my five year Kitap stay permit. And he told me the following.
Recent photo
Proof of Health insurance
bank statement
Bring passport to his office
Money 49,5 Jt.
Since I still live in the same place as last year, he didn't ask for Surat Domicili.
He didn't mention anything about the KTP or Kk, so I just asked him about these things. I am waiting for his response.
I will post about everything when I know.

What is form 25? Are foreigners with the Kitap really required to have the KTP and KK? I am applying for my 5 year Kitap this month, and my agent didn't say anything about all of this?

As it says , Exit Only . If you don't have a current/valid Merp/Exit -Re entry permit and want to leave Indonesia with no intention of returning . As is the case with some Kitap holders on the old 2 year Merp that haven't renewed it .

As I think I have said before, it sometimes seems that it is universal for immigration departments everywhere to make the processes as confusing and as difficult as possible. An unfortunate example today posted on the ABC website. And in Australia if you pay for increasingly expensive visa applications you do not get your money back if your application is rejected.

Not positive but if I remember form 25 is for the Merp . I was told by the local office here that I couldn't get the KTP and KK until I had the Kitap then I had 14 days to apply for them or I could face a fine if I didn't have them when asked , yet others on Kitas already have it , some saying they got them with there first Kitas . I'm 3 years into my 5 year Kitap and still haven't got them due to misinformation and computer problems at local and regional offices . i get yearly visits from the Kepala Desa and Police Chef and have never been asked about or had to show them .

The office near me told me that I can't get the KTP OA and KK until after the Kitap. But I know you can get a drivers license and motorcycle in your own name with a Kitas as long as you have the SKTT (this has your NIK number on it)
