Simplification of Banking for foreigners?

Not really O., it all depends on prediction. The bank Umum here are very hesitant going further than 6 months. (Believe me, we shop with at least 6 of them very regularly.) And since it gets riskier for them, most often the longer term versions generate lower interest rates.
I am talking about BPR, Jstar, which are the only banks which were giving you the 9,25% rate at the time of posting we were discussing. Bank Umum gives sh1t rate. Pointless to talk about them when it comes to term deposit. Having me money sleeping at just 5% netto would be a lose.

LPS has now listed 6.25% for regular bank, and 8.75% for BPR. http://www.lps.go.id/

Also please note that only up to Rp 2 billion is insured per customer, per bank, so spread out amounts over this.
Yep. This is why I was saying that I've tied to a 12 month period most of my term deposits in BPR. I was hoping for at least one or two months at 9,25% but it was obvious that it would go down.
