Retiring to Bali with my Harley

That video was the one of the most classic example of some the idiots that call themselves Americans! He dare call this Christian? So he is saying that to create a machine that runs on clean non polluting energy is un American? This is an embarrassment to any American with a Brain.

Hahaha, them Yanks.....they make us laugh so much in Europe ! 🤣🤣
I was born in America, but that doesn't define me as a person. Seeing that video, reminded me of the people that I was raised around. They were proud of their Redneck ways, and lack of worldly knowledge. Even though mass amounts of senseless killing of innocent people with guns. They wont control them getting in the hands of psychopaths.
When the Second amendment was written, there were only single shot, slow to reload, handheld guns. These ones they portrayed in that video were not even dreamed of. I can't understand, how can these things be allowed to be available to all.
It was insane, how that man kept pulling out bigger, and bigger guns to shoot a motorcycle. .he was so proud to be attached to the old gas guzzling, loud inefficient design. That the thought of an electric design was out of the question.
I might be wrong, but I thought the concept of Woke, was intended to show the inequality between Whites, and Blacks, in our history. It seems to haven gotten twisted into something entirely different. Some things I hear about the so called woke movement, I don't agree some things as normal, such as teaching children in schools that it's OK for a Man, or Woman to change their sex they were born with, into the opposite sex. Things such as this, and Religion, are peoples personal choices that should not be a part of schools curriculum. And be should be decided when the person has reached adulthood.

He even combined this madness with the Christian religion! I can only hope that people don't let this become rules and laws, and be forced on everyone. We don't need another time of the Crusades!

Well, if diversity is our strength, welcome to the forum then?

I've been following the things that have been going on in the UK a little and I think I can understand why some people would want to leave.
Some have mentioned Poland as an option to migrate to. Well, let's see how many will actually take the step.

Gee, if you went to live in America you might be lucky and have that gun toting bloke as your neighbour.

January 2024 bought a 2005 V-Rod Harley and asked my mate to customise it for me so I could ride it in UK when I returned from 6 month Indonesia trip. I didn't know I was going to fall in love with Bali and want to live there. Can anyone please advice me how I can get my bike out there without massive expense. Dismantling and boxing up is not a problem, but can I register it for road use in Bali. Thank you
I understand that your primary goal is to live in Bali, rather than traveling across Indonesia on a motorcycle. If that's the case, why do you need a large motorbike? Many people in Bali manage just fine with regular small motorcycles under 250cc. Also, be aware that you will need a special license to ride a motorcycle larger than 500cc.

As others have mentioned, dealing with Indonesian customs can be particularly challenging, especially with recent changes. The customs officials are notoriously known for corruption.

However, if you still want to bring your motorbike and use it for travelling across Indonesia, there are a few YouTube channels where people vlogging their journeys on large motorbikes just in case you are not aware of. You might want to contact them as they definitely know very well about this topics. Here’s a few examples:

This is the first time I've heard of Brits wanting to move to Poland; usually, it's the other way around. Following Poland's EU accession in 2004, many Polish people moved to the UK taking advantage of the lack of transitional restrictions on the right to work in the UK and Ireland. This policy allowed immediate access to the labour markets, unlike other EU countries which implemented transitional periods. Since then, some have become British Citizen.

While some Brits might move to Poland for family reasons, most Brits generally prefer relocating to the US, Australia, or France, Spain and other part of the EU such as in Portugal, Cyprus, Greece. In the EU they don't fully immigrate; but they return to the UK for a few months during the year to maintain their residency and Free National Healthcare entitlement. Many British retirees choose Spain or Portugal as a second residence due to the proximity, sunny weather, and beaches, but they are likely not there for work.

Isnt the current main draw of Poland the fact that they are not letting migrants in, which makes it a catch22 for any Brit wanting to migrate to there.

Yeah you would expect Hungary over Poland for this particular section of the population.
Absolutely, for people working in the P industry and the growing popularity of OnlyFans. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

But this are not just for people in the EU but also the people around the world including the US. A few to name, Pierre Woodman, Jacquie Michel, Erick Everheart, Giorgio Grandi, Rocco Siffredi, P Dan, Jax Slayher. Reasonable number of people and their associated companies have moved part or the whole of their operation, production house to Budapest.

Someone has a lot of spare time 'on their hands'

Poland let quite a few Ukrainian refugees in, almost a million. They are just a bit picky about what refugees are welcome and which ones aren't.
But the Brits aren't refugees. And since they left the EU, they will need a work and/or residency permit if they would want to migrate to Poland.

If Indonesia had 5.5m immigrants arriving every year (2% of the population like the UK has) then I'm sure there would be riots here too.
How else are you going to replace those leaving, or do you prefer not to?

It is called "the great replacement"

You just confirmed it....
I didn't confirm anything at all. The UK loses a lot of people each year to emigration. It's up to the UK whether they want to replace them.
That 'great replacement' theory is weak. I think it's only concerned with immigrants and not emigrants. From what I know it's just a poor cover for racist jingoism.

Mmmm....not sure what to think about this ?
Maybe you need a more sober and realistic approach to all this....

But if you like dramatization, you will be served plenty of it in Asia 😁😁
Thanks for your wisdom Balifrog. There's no dramatics, it's simple, Britain has 'fallen', and I'm leaving for a better life, one I already know.

I agree with you about Britain, the place went downhill at amazing speed. Even worse than France....
I was first in the UK in 1969 for a schooltrip, later worked there for about a year in the 80's (London, Sizewell, Newcastle). When I see on TV what it has become I find it really sad.
And don't start me on Boris J. !
I left France many years ago for SEA, and now retired since 7 years in Bali.
It's not paradise, but at 71 it's a decent compromise. And no way I go back to France !

The Asian drama of course is permanently present, but I have known worse (Thailand for example..)
All the best, man but forget about bringing your bike over !
