FPI demands the release of their leader Habib Rizieq and are staging a march from Al-Azhar until Mapolda Metro Jaya (Police headquarters) this morning. The police is expecting traffic jam along Jl. Gatot Subroto in front of their HQ offices.

I don't think he was. Just interrogated at the moment about the palu arit comment. They just want to pressure the police so that he is not named a suspect and arrested at the end of the day.

In an embarrassing twist for these professional demonstrators, the Palestinian Embassy in Jakarta has issued a strongly worded statement asking these protesters to stop using their flag:

The embassy regrets to observe recently that the Palestinian flag had been raised during non-peaceful rallies connected with pure Indonesian domestic affairs. It’s crystal clear that such attitude, which is not acceptable, cannot be considered by any means as a sign of support or solidarity with Palestine.

True and genuine friends of Palestine should be seeking to preserve stability and peace in their own country if they were sincere to achieve peace in Palestine, therefore the Embassy express its confidence that the Indonesian people cannot be deceived by any misguided individuals or groups who might use our Flag to cover up their ill intended hidden domestic agenda.
