Interesting requirement for KITAS visa (VITAS):

1. Surat keterangan berkelakuan baik dari otoritas berwenang di negara asal atau perwakilan negara asal Orang Asing.(basically criminal record or similar)
2. Hasil pemeriksaan kesehatan yang menyatakan bebas dari penyakit menular yang membahayakan kesehatan umum.(kind of health certificate)

If someone were to get a visit visa they would need to be coming from someplace other than Indonesia into Indonesia. They wouldn't/shouldn't be concerned if they can or can not get vaccinated here since they would be required to be fully vaccinated for entry.

I can see them applying these changes to all ITAS be they new or renewal. I do not think these apply to KITP. That us a perminate stay visa.

Personally, I think a criminal record for a residence-type visa is not surprising. Many countries require this, and it was surprising that they didn't require it before.

If someone were to get a visit visa they would need to be coming from someplace other than Indonesia into Indonesia. They wouldn't/shouldn't be concerned if they can or can not get vaccinated here since they would be required to be fully vaccinated for entry.

So if you were here before on a visit visa (aka Ijin Kunjungan, Sosbud or Tourist visa) and couldn't get home due to Covid, you could get a Visit visa, without ever leaving the country. Some people have been on these since the end of the automatic emergency visa last year. Basically, it's like chaining SosBud visas and leaving every 6 months to Singapore and back, but without the leaving to Singapore part.

Still, when Indonesia lifts the save the tourist plan, they would be required to leave be it to get a new sosbud ir a tourist visa. Still will be coming from outside. Now, if they were required to have these vaccinations in the nation they are going to then they be in the big hurt. Of course, for most if us we have heard, read, talked about that foreigners can indeed get vaccinated here. Not sure if the need to pay but can get. Some have stated with passport number. I'd be checking around seriously before Indonesia says goodby. Maybe talk with your embassy about your lack of vaccine and what you need to do about it.

Can be substituted with a statement letter from the sponsor now....requirements changing in real-time.

I just changed sponsor company for my KITAS last week and I had to provide a PCR test negative within the past 30 days, show certificate of at least my first vaccine jab. They originally wanted a full doctors physical result but in the end said it wasn't necessary. I also had to show proof of private health insurance. Outside of the above nothing was different than the usual paperwork.

sure this is probably the case. I was shocked because I renewed my KITAS in July and didn't have to go through the extra process, now it changed. But the info is useful anyways for sure.

I have posted here last night but perhaps I didn’t do it correctly because my post seems to be gone. Or should I have posted it elsewhere?

Anyway, so glad to find this forum. Wonder if anyone can share their experience in SosBud visa, especially those who have been doing onshore + extension since the start of pandemic. My partner extended his last week and the immigration officer (was nice about it) but asked some questions. Such as, when he is planning to leave and his activities here. It was all good though, the officer asked if the ticket was paid for (we did include his air ticket) and asked to see proof of payment. We assume to verify the ticket is not a fake one..

Obviously, those are very relevant questions, just curious at others’ experiences.

I think the opposite is true.
SosBud visa = visit visa
Duration of 60 days and can be extended for another 30 days at a time for up to 4 times,
but with each extension there are more questions (especially suspicion of working illegaly), you will face potential rejection starting 3rd extension request unless you have very good reasons..

Extending onshore visas (SosBud) is now the default way for someone "stranded" in Indonesia to continue staying here unless they qualify for a stay permit. The government has tightened the rules a bit for the sponsorship, but I don't see them disallowing the practice of continuing to chain SosBud visas at least until the international flight situation returns to normal.
