Ah..no worry. Thank you so much, dafluff.Hi and welcome to the forum. Your post is fine. I checked and there seems to have been a....ahem...moderator error. The posts you made were put in an approval queue by the software (it happens sometimes for new users). I was supposed to approve them but accidentally didn't. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Extending onshore visas (SosBud) is now the default way for someone "stranded" in Indonesia to continue staying here unless they qualify for a stay permit. The government has tightened the rules a bit for the sponsorship, but I don't see them disallowing the practice of continuing to chain SosBud visas at least until the international flight situation returns to normal.
Completely understood that they are tightening up. My partner's ticket is for January 2022, hoping to spend Christmas and NY with family here, but with that little incident, we get a bit worried.
We thought of seeking out visa agent and have contacted couple, but perhaps with this being weekend, haven't get any response back yet.
Again, thanks so much! This forum is so packed with information.
