Referring to the above article, I found out the following;

KITAP holder sponsored by company and not married to Indonesian cannot apply for KTP-OA.

That’s because ‘Kepala Keluarga’ in ‘Kartu Keluarga’ cannot be a foreigner. Without an Indonesian spouse, no ‘Kartu Keluarga’, no KTP-OA.

Any KITAP holder sponsored by company without Indonesian spouse able to obtain KTP-OA ???

Back when I still had a spouse sponsored KITAS, I had my own KK with just me on it.

You can be Kepala keluarga, but your keluarga is a family of one person ie you. Your wife and the kids are on another KK and she is the head of that family.
Make sense? (no need to answer that)

WNA can be kepala keluarga on a KK. Mine have always had just me on them as kepala. Means I am also the feet and as* of the family.

UU No 23 Tahun 2006
Pasal 21

All KITAP holders are required to have KK and KTP.

If you are a foreigner and your spouse foreigner as well, both with KITAP, you will be on the same KK,

As pointed out by @Brian86 above, KITAP holder not only can, but MUST hold KTP-OA and KK.

If you are female, married to WNI, KK will be issued as normal.
If you are male, married to WNI, some Civil Registry offices will issue a separate KK just for you, or you will be in a KK with your Indonesian family members, but your wife will be listed as head of the family.

If you are not married to WNI, then you will get KTP-OA and your KK will contain all non-WNI family members that have KITAP.

Thanks all. It will be interesting to know if there is any forum member not married to Indonesian who has both KTP-OA and KITAP sponsored by company.

I believe the KTP-OA thing was conceived to accommodate those spouse-sponsored KITAP holders, especially necessary when children are born from that marriage.

I know personally persons on Investor KITAP that have KK and KTP OA. KK and KTP are a requirement for permanent residents ( KITAP holders).

I understand the person you knew personally has Investor KITAP, KK and KTP-OA. My question, is he married to Indonesian or not?

I know at least two different people, in two different province, who are KITAP holders, sponsored by a company, non married to and Indonesian spouse and who have both KTP and KK.

It would be great if they are in this forum, why not invite them to become members. Not many are company-sponsored KITAP holders not married to Indonesian.

Inviting is one easy thing to do, willing to participate is a whole different thing.

Actually, I've realized that I also know a couple of misionaris, sponsored by a church organization, not married with indonesian, KITAP holders and who have both KTP and KK. Add to that at least a couple of KITAP Lansia couples (one is a forum member btw but, unfortunately fed up by the attitude of some fellow forum members, not participating anymore) who have both KTP and KK while none of the spouse being Indonesian.

But to be honest I am sure I know much more. Having a KITAP, a KTP and a KK is so yesterday... :D

Not always so- my KK was issued to me, in my name only, as head of my household- hubby had his own stating he was head of the household too (& we know that is just fantasy ;) )

My KKs were always by myself until the latest one with a move. New guy insisted they had to be together and that is what we have now.
