It seems the Balinese Immigration’s budget is rather big if you see the huge amount of brand new large pickup trucks they have. Only in Jimbaran I already saw 7.

Indonesians are generally noisy. Noise "blind". Love blasting out loud music etc.

A big trend now in certain circles is to remove the inner parts of the knalpot (exhaust pipe) of the motorbike. They think that’s very cool / funny. Esp. at 2 AM that loud sound carries very far.

Then you have the modifications in the brakes and wheels in the small trucks which create a screaming elephant sound. Not to confuse with the Om Telolet Om on the big busses.

It’s also kind of interesting to see that while in western countries the use of fireworks is more and more limited and forbidden, over here it is available all year round. Esp. popular for every religious event or occasion. And in areas like Seminyak there are places where they have fireworks every evening.
