Thinking of the unthinkable, just shows how desperate the tax office is. But I doubt they dare to put M in the pamphlet for Muslims.

I have to ask, do we think Jesus paid taxes, I thought he just went round preaching, curing lepers and feeding the 5000, you cannot quote Buddha he just sat around meditating,

If Jesus were alive today, anything he got including charitable donation must be declared. It's still debatable if he can claim it as religious donation and thus tax exempt, being an upstart religion and all. Anyone knows if the Scientology or LDS church pay taxes on their income?

Here is the Muslim version of the brochure, it quotes both the Quran and the prophet.

I had to do a quick google to make sure I remember correctly, but Jesus was asked about paying taxes to the government the people didn't like:

14They came to him and said, “Teacher, we know that you are a man of integrity. You aren’t swayed by others, because you pay no attention to who they are; but you teach the way of God in accordance with the truth. Is it right to pay the imperial tax to Caesar or not? 15Should we pay or shouldn’t we?”

But Jesus knew their hypocrisy. “Why are you trying to trap me?”he asked. “Bring me a denarius and let me look at it.” 16They brought the coin, and he asked them, “Whose image is this? And whose inscription?”

“Caesar’s,” they replied.

17Then Jesus said to them, “Give back to Caesar what is Caesar’s and to God what is God’s.”

And they were amazed at him.

You know, all you have to do with that thread title - Jesus and Taxes - is switch the "a" and the "e" in the final word, and you also have a very fine discussion topic. :)
