Imigrasi on line?

So before your 5 years e-ITAP expires you probably will have the same options as Balifrog (time unlimited ITAP , Bridge Stay Permit , or an EPO + new visa) . Anything you choose will not be free for sure .
I will have to ask my agent about that. I wish Harryopal or someone else that has been through this experience, would tell us if he had to pay when his Five year Kitap expired, and he had to renew? I don't want a bridge stay permit, or and EPO. The Kitap is not a visa. It is a unlimited Stay Permit!

The time unlimited KITAP is still available (since the Law in 2011) .

There is now a new option for you : a '60 days Bridge Visit Stay Permit' . With it you don't need to leave Indonesia . From it you can start again with the ITAS .

I think that the rule will not change so soon , but in 2016 you can ask us too .
Why would someone go back to Zero, and start from scratch? After they went through all the steps to get the Kitap permit? I don't think the Government wants People to do this? Please someone with experience who has done this procedure, tell us what happens after the First five years expires?

... The Kitap is not a visa. It is a unlimited Stay Permit!
KITAP = Kartu Izin Tinggal Tetap = Permanent Residence Permit's Card
... Please someone with experience who has done this procedure, tell us what happens after the First five years expires?
UU no.6 Year 2011 - free translation
Article 59
(1) Permanent Residence Permit is granted for a period of 5 years and may be extended for an unlimited period of time if the Permit is not canceled.

(2) The holder of a Permanent Residence Permit for an unlimited period of time as referred to in paragraph (1) shall report to the Immigration Office every 5 years , free of charge.

Please someone with experience who has done this procedure, tell us what happens after the First five years expires?

You’re blowing hot and cold again.

First we established your agent is a moron. Then you’re telling us it’s great to have an agent, no more worries. And now it seems your agent did not even inform you what happens after the first 5 years or when your ITAP expires? Amazing.

It is extremely simple; if you have a ITAP that you have to extend/renew, you do so and pay. If you have an ‘unlimited’ ITAP you need to report. Nowadays that’s online via the eVisa system and it’s for free.

There we go. Can you pay me $264 for that advice please? I will forward you my BCA bank account number.

oh wait, I will throw in a free emoticon: :blah:

Sorry Only you said my agent was a moron. It's obvious when my Five year Permanent Stay Permit has to be renewed. You don't have to be so insulting, to my Agent! I really don't give a shite! I'm happy I finally got my ITap. It took many years and trips to Immigration, to get to this level. I won't let your Negativity bring me down! Maybe you need a Laxative?
Better yet, just forward me your credit card number with the Password! Hopefully it's an American Express! Thank you 👍✌️🥳

My "permanent Kitap" runs out in 2028. My understanding is that I report before that expiry and I don't have to pay. I also understood that once again one had to apply for the next extension with all that same paper work all over again. Now with everything required on line I am not sure how that would work. As rules keep changing I don't feel competent to give anyone advice about anything. My visas have been based on my WNI wife as sponsor. Things are different if you are not sponsored by a WNI. At the moment I am using an agent for the first time ever. He is to register my new Australian passport and renew IMK (MERP). He says that for 8 juta I can get an unlimited IMK plus 500,000 for the passport update and his fee of 1.75 juta. I do hope that is all correct but a better prospect than suggested by another agent who was offering to do a 2 year IMK and register the new passport for 8 juta which suggested their charges who 5.5 juta as 2 year IMK is 2 juta and passport update 500,000

I believe it may take about 3 weeks for Imm to process. I will report on developments.

Balifrog had said, "...Viable if you're sure to live 10 years more, but that's a big bet at 72." Stone the crows. In getting a new passport I had a choice between a 5 year or 10 year passport.. I am 86 so went for the wildly optimistic 10 years which gives me an incentive to hang on longer to get my money's worth.

Good luck on all of this. I like the agent's offer of 8 juta, for unlimited IMK, and he only wants 1.75 juta fee. I hope you're right thinking that if you report in before expiry date, it's free! When I need to extend my ITAP I only have to pay this amount also! After you do this your stay permit will be unlimited, so you only have to pay for the IMK, and agent fee, every five years!
Actually if it was up to me, I don't want to pay for any of this! In my mind! I am a citizen of all this Planet, and have the right to live anywhere I want! The same for everyone else! The World we are forced to live in with Borders, Passports, Visa's, is all an illusion create by the Oligarchs, to have control of all the common People! I want to be Free as a Bird. 👍🙏✌️🥳🦅🦋

I have remarked before that it seems worldwide, the function of immigration departments is to make things as complicated and difficult as possible. A story today from Australia illustrates that. Applicants from non Western Countries have to do an English language test costing about $400. And even having succeeded with the test it expires and they have to repeat the test.

Over the years I have had quite a bit to do with Australian immigration, including making documentaries and writing a book on the post war evolution of policies, I have long had the view that Australia's immigration department is deliberately understaffed as a means of creating a bottleneck to discourage applicants.

It’s a shame I had to leave Bali, Harry. I was in Jimbaran and could have come by. My fee? A good beer 🍺. Or two 🍻

If you look at the reality of this situation, the People should be required to have a grasp of the Aboriginal language, because the so called Australian People were mostly migrants from Europe, and spoke English. If that policy had been required for the Immigrants coming to America, most of them would have failed! My ancestors Grandparents, and my Father spoke Polish, when they arrived in America!

And if a person took the test, and payed, then passed . How can these results expire, and they have to repeat the test! This is outrageous!

Correct .
I also understood that once again one had to apply for the next extension with all that same paper work all over again.
Probably . But the name used by Immigration is 'Report' , not 'Extension' .

The rule basically didn't change since 2011 .

These official fees are correct too .

From https://www.expatindo.org/community/threads/some-new-immigration-fees.7881
time unlimited IMK/Re-Entry Permit : Rp8 million
Report of changes to civil & immigration data : Rp500'000

Which one? There were close to about four hundred different dialects. Living in an Aboriginal homeland in central Australia for some months I had begun to learn a little Pitjantjatjara language but that would not have been much use north, south, east or west. Not to mention Tamania which had 10 or 12 languages and then the Torres Straits with two major languages, six dialects and creole.

Subject: Updating a new passport with Immigration and applying for a renewed multi exit return permit using the new on line evisa website. I already have a spouse sponsored "permanent ITAP

After getting together all the necessary documents in PDF and jpeg format as required I opened my wife's Evisa account and used the helpful tips previously provided by forum members. I had got to the uploading the new passport copy but when I then went to upload a photo as required I got an "error" message. At this point a friend of my wife suggested an agent they recommended. I contacted that agent but was unimpressed.

After some research I contacted this agency below.

Unlike the previous agency I found the Indosarana principal, Gede to be very straight forward and he communicated well. He pointed out that with the unlimited "permanent stay" Itap the appropriate IMK would be the unlimited one rather than seeking a 2 year IMK. Unlike the other agency I had contacted which tried to explain that the total of 8 Juta (which was only for a 2 year IMK) was because there may be additional Immigration charges and their quote was based on a "professional service". So basically their fee was to be around 5.5 Juta. They wanted to invoice me immediately before beginning any process.

Gede of Indosarana advised that, "For the mutation stamp from old passport to new passport, the cost is IDR 550.000 and IDR 8,000,000 for the UNLIMITED IMK (MERP), our cost is IDR 1.750.000.". He immediately began preparing the application and then asked for payment at the point that Immigration would have to be paid.

Yesterday I received from Immigration confirmation about the new passport detail with ITAP attached and today I received the IMK. So I have the unlimited IMK and don't have to go through that whole application process again as would have been the case had I gone with the first agent. Incidentally there was no need to return to the Immigration office for biometrics.

All I now have to concern myself with is reporting in 2028 at the end of the first 5 year period of the "Permanent Itap." I was very happy with the service provided by Gede at Indosarana.

Happy to hear things turned out good. Always good to hear success stories. Sounds like a very reasonable price and he didn't have to muck around with things too much.

When using the "Find Existing Stay Permit" function, the displayed options under "Actions" appear limited.
After you found your KITAP, click again on "MY APPLICATION" > STAY PERMIT (sub section). Your KITAP should still appear, but now with additional options under "Action" including IMK:

When uploading a photo on the application process, it says minimum 400x600 pixels but is programmed >400 not >=400 pixels. So the photo must be minimum 401 pixels. The government websites are usually like this.. it's usually worth disregarding the literal description of error messages and instead think of other causes, often found in programming limitations.
Hi Mate, tried this but nothing comes up, but empty form, would it be because my ITAS was processed by an agent and now we trying to convert to ITAP thru an account my wife has now just opened?, cheers

.. tried this but nothing comes up, but empty form,
After you get an empty page , click at "Staypermit" at the top of the page (so a new page will appear with your ITAS data) .

If your Indonesian wife's account was successfully registered , the past process by agent is probably irrelevant .

Yes my wife's account was verified yesterday and so trying it out today, my ITAS comes up after I log in as per 1st post only action is change date Guarantor or briding visa, when I go back to m6 application or services and try to bring my ITAS again, I just get the blank form with NO DATA at the bottom,.. is their any way to check if my wife is registered as Guarantor as the ITAS was done by the agent who I have been using for 10 years

Curiously it would be easier if you had an ITAP (my new ITAP data states in "Type of Stay permit : "Spouse of Indonesian Citizen" , so very clear) .

But in the ITAS data (mine & yours) it states in "Type of Stay permit : Limited Stay Permit (ITAS) 1 Year - for Family Dependent" (looking at the photo you showed in your previous post no.8 at https://www.expatindo.org/community...sored-by-indonesian-spouse-how-i-did-it.8157/) .

I think your ITAS is sponsored by your Indonesian wife because the other 3 ITAS also for family dependent are : "Foreigner's Spouse ITAS" , "Child of Indonesian ITAS" , and "Stepchild of Indonesian ITAS (I assume you are not in any of these last situations) .

Anyway , you can easily get all answers from your local Kantor Imigrasi later .
