Imigrasi on line?

We created an Imigrasi account for my wife WNA sponsor as were told to do by Imigrasi at Benoa office. They said to use evisa.imigrasi.go.id/ The account was then verified.

The website above seems to be limited to visa applications. I need to register a new Australian passport and then apply for another MERP (or whatever it is now called) in order to make a trip soon. I could find no link for either of these issues. I tried the "chat " for information as to where we can do this and it referred us to imigrasi.go.id. I could not find any link on that site either to upload details about my new passport nor any link to apply for a new MERP. I tried the "chat" on this website and it referred me back to the evisa website.

Has anyone had any success performing either of the above tasks on line? Or can you refer us to an appropriate link to enable us to get this done? (Or perhaps to a psychiatrist to avoid a mental breakdown.)

We have the necessary documents in PDF format but am a total loss as to how to proceed so would be grateful for information.

Don't worry - that's the right website and you're nearly there.

After logging into your wife's account, click the "MY APPLICATION" tab at the top, near the middle. Screen shot:

Then, click the "Staypermit tab"on the left. Screen shot:

After that, click the green button called "Action" and a drop-down menu will appear. It sounds like you want to select "Change Data" to register your new passport. Screen shot:

You should be OK from there. Apologies for not wanting to go further - worried it'll confuse things on my account, haha.

Good luck!

Sorry to be so dense but I pressed Stay permit and there is no green button Action. On the right hand side of the bar below there is Action but nothing happens when I press that.

Hmm, looks like that account might not have been linked to your visa, which is supposed to show up in all of those blank columns in your screenshot. How recently was the account created? I remember it took my wife's account a few days to work.

If it's been longer than that... well, that's the limit of my experience, I'm afraid.

We created the account just a few days ago and it has been verified but then as we had previously made our applications at imi offices then there is nothing as yet lodged in her account details. We will go back to the Benoa office tomorrow morning and see if they can put us in the right direction.

This is because it is your first time . This is what I did (I have an e-ITAS , but I think it will be applicable to your ITAP's case too) :

1. Went to https://evisa.imigrasi.go.id
2. Signed In (Indonesian sponsor's account)
3. Selected "Services"
4. At "2 Stay Permit" , select "Find Existing Stay Permit" (only in my first time , at my second time and on I select "Apply")
5. Typed my "Permit number" and "Passport number" , selected "Check" , then my ITAS's full data appeared
6. Selected the green "Action" (at the right side of the Stay Permit's data) , the process options appeared
Note : In your case the process options are : Extend , Conversion , Change Data , Bridging Stay Permit , Reporting , Aplication IMK for ITAP (same as MERP) , Exit Permit Only (according to AhhSamboi in post no.21 at https://www.expatindo.org/community/threads/kitap-renewal-struggles.7992/page-2) .

At least in my city , our Kantor Imigrasi has been using Whatsapp/WA so I have been getting their support without the need to go there .

Look for your city's Kantor Imigrasi phone number or website (where there will be probably a cell phone number there) , and if it is a cell phone no. it will probably be connected to WA too . In the first contact , ask for the specific WA no. for the "layanan Izin Tinggal" .

Marcus. Thanks. That pushed us along somewhat following the above instructions. Had some fun trying to decipher the handwriting of the number in my passport but then my wife picked up my KITAP card on which the number is printed. Succeeded in getting the data as below. When I clicked on action it then only just shows Bridging Stay Permit and if I click on that it seems to assume I am on a visit visa and asked if I want to stay 60 days. So, it seems still off to Benoa again tomorrow. I don't know how they expect people using on line for the first time to negotiate this without step by step instructions. I hope Benoa don't just tell us to take it up with Jakarta. I will post an update after our Benoa visit tomorrow.

Thanks again to Marcus and Vulgarian.

They did give us a Benoa Whatsapp number so I will try that before heading off to the office.

Looks like the evisa website is considering this account as your account , not the sponsor's account .

From what I understand , the sponsor is eligible to request all immigration processes regarding a KITAS or KITAP , and the foreigner holding this same KITAS or KITAP is eligible to request only its conversion to a 60 days Bridging Visit Stay Permit .

That doesn't really make much sense, when the Man already has the Unlimited Kitap stay Permit? After hearing all this confusion, I don't even want to look at what the site says about me. I just got my first Kitap, this Year. It says it's good until 2030, so I'm satisfied with that. This system needs to be fixed so Harryopal can look at his status! 🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏾‍♀️🤪

I tried the Ngurah Rai immi office whats app number. No answer. My wife says you can only message. Just painfully finished a long message on my mobile. And am not optimistic about getting serious help as to what do do next. If this does elicit useful information I will then go again to the Benoa immi office. Can anyone recommend an agent in Bali? With the previous system my wife sponsor is skilled with dealing directly with immi officers and managed Sosbud, Kitas, Kitap and permanent Kitap. However she is less of a computer savvy person than I am not.

Recommended Bali agent, please?

Hi Harry, this entire post has been interesting with everyone dealing with Visa's online, usually with most having their Wives as Sponsors. It is cheaper going this route but, it looks much more complicated. I have used an agent since the days of coming to Bali on the Sosbud visa, and having the agent help me with renewing after the first 60 days was up, to get another 60 days. I am so glad I stuck with using my agent, because he has made it so simple and easy getting the visa's, and then moving up to the Kitas stay permit, for five years, and now with getting the Unlimited Kitap Permit.

His information is as follows- Ketut Punia, WhatsApp # +62 (0) 812- 3618810. He is located in Ubud on Jl. Hanuman on the East side of the road, a few hundred meters up the road from Coco's Supermarket. He has in Bold White letters on the window, (Immigration visa Renewal). Yes it is more expensive using an agent, but Much, Much, more easy to deal with Immigration. Good Luck, 👍🙏✌️

Please disregard the recommendation for an agent. We just had a visitor who has recommended an agent with whom they have been very happy. Anyway, I will update as we move along.

Thanks. With the recommendation mentioned from a close friend we will go that way. Will post details when finished.

I have a quote from the agent to whom we have been referred and the all up fee is RP 8,000,000 for registering the new passport and getting a 2 year Merp. I asked for their fee in this and they said, maybe 2 juta. I understood a 2 year Merp was 4 juta. The agent said, "maybe yes, or maybe no." If it were 4 juta for the Merp then agents fee for the Merp and registering new passport would be 4 juta. Does that seem excessive?

Considering I did the same thing for less than 2 juta a couple of years ago, it seems a little pricey to me. I was thinking it was 1.7 for the MERP and the passport change was free. That may no longer be the case.

Thanks for the reply. I did a search for the current fees for Merp which indicated 2 years is now 4 Juta. The agent says immigration charges the agent extra. Which may include a "facilitation fee". So, it is pricey but as we can no longer process at the Imm office and find the website process impossible I will go ahead. In 2028 I have to report with my 5 year permanent Kitap expiry. By then it may be that the Merp will match the next 5 year permanent Kitap. It really does seem that instead of facilitating visa applications the on line system is just going to generate a whole lot of extra income for agents and, I suspect, suap for immigration officials. Am I being needlessly sceptical?

2 Juta for the 2 year merp and 500,000rp for any change of details .As per the director generals new fee schedule late 2024 when they change everything to online and increased all fees . So the agent is making 5,500,000rp . And yes the online system is a total !!!! up . The 5 year Kitap still shows on the fee schedule but buy other posts on here there not giving that option on the online system , only the unlimited kitap/merp at 23 Juta .

I queried the fees again with the agent who replied: Our company, as a visa agent, charges a professional fee for handling the process from start to finish, including preparation, submission, and follow-up with Immigration. This is why the total amount you were quoted (IDR 8,000,000) is higher than the official government fee, as our agency fee is added on top of the Immigration charge. Different agencies may have different service rates, so you are very welcome to use another agency if you prefer."

I have requested a quote from a different agency but not sure if their website is working. 5.5 Juta to register the passport and apply for Merp seems steep to me.
