Huge power outage Aug 4, 2019 in Jakarta/West Java

I have read that Indonesia is committed in 2020 to move towards the development of a nuclear energy capacity so the lingering effects of the Jakarta outage might give some impetus to that. However, in the news today about the ongoing clean up of the Fukushima disaster it was mentioned that the ultimate cost may be as much as $660 million dollars. Given that Indonesia is located in the "rim of fire" with volcanic hazards I can't help but wonder about the wisdom of nuclear energy as a major option for this country. And if, nonetheless that objective is pursued, I wonder if a possible multi hundred billion clean up is budgeted for as part of the overall costings.

Your post certainly seemed to imply this feeling.
How so? While not feeling sorry for any of them, I never said a thing about taking any pleasure in what happened to them. You will need to show me where. The government and PLN are different stories.
