I think it might depend on several factors: where you live, staff availability and organisation.

We did NOT get a call back, they just turned up. Tadaaaaah: "Surprise!" I was in my PJs had to dash off & shower & dress.
We do live fairly close to KanIm though.
We never did get a visit from the Jakarta people though.
By all means get back in touch with them if they have been ages & not come to see you.
Ask them if there is some problem at the office holding up visits, and how much longer they think you will have to wait.
& try and use friendly tone and language when dealing with people in this process, it will save much hassle in the long term.

I had a similar situation. They appeared for the interview what my wife, my son & myself were muddy from doing farm work. They ended up just doing the interview while we were like that, photos & everything.
The immigration in my area are terribly slow. It took around 3 months between payment & the interview, and its now almost a year has passed & my skim is still not yest done. We go to the immigration office once a week to ask whats going on & theres so many excuses about being too busy & understaffed. Always being promised that it will eventually get done & we must just be patient. Well its nearly a year now & still waiting.

I would be pushing them or going over their heads by now, a year to process the SKIM is not acceptable at all. Imagine if you only had 1 year on your visa, and you say that you have paid for the service - a 3 million chunk at the very least, push them -hard or you could end up losing your money and having to start again.
Maybe you could, write a letter to send to DitJenIm in Jakarta explaining that you have waited almost a year but your local place in understaffed and say they cannot go faster, and take it in next time, when they again say they cannot process your SKIM yet - show them the letter & tell them you will help by complaining to Jakarta that they don't have enough staff or funds to operate. :D
Tell them that you expect progress within 2 working weeks or will send (or physically take) the letter.
That is what I would do for sure.

OMG 1 year? and my case is just one month plus from date of payment and still no interview. I messged thier whatsapp number earlier this morning regarding my SKIM status and i was told its waiting approval from regional office. that was still their respond two weeks ago.

Alright, so I finally started the process. Since I hate driving to government offices and thanks to covid it's a bit easier contacting the offices via whatsapp. I dropped a line to my local Kantor Imigrasi and they told me to chat up someone at Kantor Wilayah. The person was nice enough to tell me I need to get my SKIM first, so I headed on down to Kantor Imigrasi to get my SKIM forms.

They gave me a list of what I need for getting the SKIM while being on a spouse sponsored visa. They ask for some papers that your Kelurahan and Dukcapil will be a little confused about but just show them the examples your kantor imigrasi showed you, or take a look at the attached files.

This is the first time i've been able to submit all forms and papers in one go, so I am happy. The worker told me to stay at home and wait for a visit from Kantor Imigrasi. I figure maybe they'll show up in a couple weeks but after reading the previous several posts... well... we'll see what happens. I got a trip to Makassar and Bali coming up.

If you are wanting to get SKIM (Surat Keterangan Keimigrasian), please have a look at the attached files. Some info i redacted, I'm not sure why kanim gives out other peoples personal details freely as an example. The SKIM form asks for pasfoto but they handed me my photos back. For my job, I put Bapak Rumah Tangga and all the workers there got a good laugh and I kind of chided them a bit about how they tell WNA spouses they can work informally which is pretty lame.

They asked where my spouse was when I turned these in and I said she was working. They'll ask you some questions so it is helpful if you have some command of bahasa indonesia...but...usually they do speak some English. Just put on a smile and be kind.

Anyhoo... they have my Rp3.000.000 and now I just wait.

I got my SKIM letter 6 days ago which makes it exactly 4 months from the date of application to collection. Now i am trying to get the requirement simultaneously to apply online at AHU.

Do you have to submit your NPWP as part of the process?

Do you have to submit your NPWP as part of the process?
I do not recall ever being asked.
However I am seeing lots of reminder messages from one of our banks to say we need to do this re-registering NPWP/NIK now(expiry date for registration is December- but that seems daft, surely they will continue to register people while ever the population grows) , &
I guess that can only really apply to holders of the NIK

I do not have an NPWP and did not have to submit.

I listed my job as Bapak Rumah Tangga and got several laughs in the office.

UPDATE

I turned my papers in on Wednesday and on Monday I got a phone call asking if I was available for an in person interview at my house. They came, we spoke, they asked all the usual questions.

Questions like:
How long have you lived here?
When was the first time you visited Indonesia?
How did you meet your spouse? (who where when why)
What is your education?
What are your previous jobs?
what is your current job?

They mentioned that I can work as an entrepreneur but what they mean is your spouse can open a business and you work as a ghost in the company without any official job title and no pay. Thanks, no thanks. It's not good enough and the interviewer agreed with me....but it doesn't matter since they aren't a policy maker. huft

I also got those messages. I sent a family member into the bank to ask what it means and if not doing it means that banking services will be withdrawn or limited (as stated in the email). They said no problem, if you want to register an NPWP you can, if you don't, no problem, there won't be any change in banking services, deposito etc..
