Girls were for breeding purposes only

I guess this thread has gotten so far off topic that there should be a disclaimer placed at the beginning so anyone new doesn't expect it to follow the topic.

It's like being with the boys in the pub, you talk football, politics, anything else, but it always ends with sex, usually

Most of them do.. I'm not sure it's a bad thing.

It keeps them interesting.

Philosophically speaking, I tend to agree (except in serious threads in the laws/visa channel - then going off topic is usually bad unless the original question is already satisfactorily answered). After all, real life conversations among friends tend to wander all over the place. Of course, if someone wants to get back to the original topic, they can always post accordingly.

I think most threads drift, but tend to get back on track again, still makes for interesting reading

I agree.

I may be wrong but I think this thread is the second longest in this forums history. (the Islam Megathread being the longest.)

Without going "off-topic" I think it would have burned itself out long ago.

So what about Miss Bum Bum then.? Who's going to win this year.? He He..

I'm not qualified to vote on Miss Bum Bum. While I can see that there are some objectively attractive examples of the female form in your link, it's not really my thing :)

How many times have you seen a newbe come on a forum and state, "I looked all over for topics that would answer my question but couldn't find any so I am asking here?" If you have hung out in more then one forum your answer would probably, "quite often."

Why someone so desperately wants to change a course of an entire thread not just start a new thread is beyond me. So what if the thread dies? It still pertains to the general information of the title. If a newbe came in here looking for a thread about asses, how would they find it? They have no idea that would need to go to a post by ukcouple to find it.

Why is it so hard to start a new thread? Is there a fear that it may die a early death so the posters want to grab the tail feathers of a longer thread to get some viewers? If the subject matter of a posting is so far off the original intent of the thread, start a new one.

But when that group of friends are all talking about one thing and someone cuts in with a mention of something not closely related, it is a wtf are you talking about moment.

Probably because starting a new thread dedicated to the "Miss Bum Bum pageant" would be over the top..

It's not that important of a topic.

At least I know I can ignore all new posts in this thread now :)
