Moral support for the police....

Honestly, we live on the outskirts of Jakarta and nothing has changed for us even though we travel to Jakarta regularly. Yes there's been a few demonstrations which have only been a couple days out of the whole year and the only disturbance is for people going to work. Yay, free holiday!

Everything else is still the same, bars are still around, high end restos, malls, etc. It's all good.

Wait till after October El_G, and then drive around a bit on a Friday....

Or look on the streets around Hari Raya Kurban...

We really will go back 15 years in time...

I hope not.

Have you guys heard anything about the "Aksi 5 / 5"? They are calling for the "Alumni 212" to attend.

They call for as many as they can each time. It's a numbers thing. One said he expects 5 million. I doubt it comes anywhere close to that.

Does anyone ever notice how readily Indonesians join these demonstrations on weekdays? You have to wonder what their day job is. Most marches in other countries are held in the evening or weekends from my experience.

The personnel of public transportation and mail services in Western Europe also always strike on Fridays (or Mondays) though. Gives them a long weekend.

So, one tomorrow then one on the 12th and then hopefully...the schools there (Theresia etc.) are not prepared though; regular classes tomorrow.

5 army and 1 police helicopter arrived at pondok Cabe this morning. Not usual

I've noticed a lot of cops this morning in Tangerang Selatan. It was nice because traffic was smooth. We should have islamistes radicals demonstrations more often haha

The latest I heard is that it is canceled? They would no do a march but just send a small delegation. Don't know if it has anything to do with Rizieq being on the Hajj (and meeting Salman).

Edit: Hmm, the school kids are being picked up and it seems quite some people already there.

Rijik Meeting Salman ? Thats the biggest Hoax ever invented by the FPI Gangs hahahahaha
They made up all of those things to keep them look noble but NOT

This might seem watered down, but close to Ramadan there are so called Pawai Obor.

These are processions, religious marches that take place everywhere.

You can imagine that those in Kota don't give the residents there a very good feeling, esp. since there have been -against the spirit of Ramadan- quite some proclamations and messages with hatred.

On this video you can hear what they (women and kids) are chanting in one of the marches:
"Bunuh Bunuh, Bunuh si Ahok. Bunuh si Ahok sekarang juna."

Well I suppose that's the advantage of a poor education system you can keep the masses where you want them, and as I'll informed as possible

They planned a 'anti Ahok memorial' demonstration. On 2 December of course.

Great planning, esp. since Thohir, the minister of state owned companies, apparently offered him a top position at one of their companies.

They don't know which one yet, it could be one of these four: Bank Mandiri, Bank Tabungan Negara, PLN and Inalum. The rumor mill is talking about Pertamina though.

Rather funny.

Esp. PLN and Pertamina could use some more scrutiny and budgetary control.

Ahok strikes back?

I was just about to post about this...so apparently he is being pulled to run one of the BUMNs....and one of the important ones.

If it is Pertamina, oh boy. That is a billion (yes, with a B) dollar position...
