Last year we also had our first child's birth certificate. We went to the local kelurahan office then to Disdukcapil. It was ready within one week and since everything was online they mailed the copy of birth certificate and we printed ourselves. Only document we needed to show was the formulir...
Actually last year I wanted to convert my Kitas but I had to renew my passport as well so I went with the Kitas extension. I also have read some post on the forum where some had to wait long to get their kitap because of the ongoing pandemic. I was just thinking would 5 months be enough to get...
I got my digital sktt or whatever they call it earlier this year when I extended my Kitas. Free of charge always. 😎 But Disdukcapil website doesn't have the option to apply online, so I went there and it took one week to get the sktt in my mail.
I'm on my 4th Kitas (spousal) right now, expiring in march. Should I go for the 5th extension if it's available or conversion to kitap should be the best option , given the covid situation it's taking a lot longer than usual to get it done. If I apply for kitap in October would it be done before...
I also wanted to convert my itas to itap as our marriage is already over 2 years now, but I needed to renew my passport and it took 8 weeks, so when I went to the kanIm in mid January they told me better extend the itas, because it the itap conversion might take a long time during this time.
I have my itas extended last Thursday and it took 5days, nothing changed except for the SKTT, while I went to the Disdukcapil the lady at desk said they no longer issue paper sktt, now it's become electronic same like ITAS. She said they will mail me a PDF file of sktt.
For Kitas to kitap conversion you have to take your application from kanIm to Kanwil, after that you have to send your approved application to the Ditjen imigrasi. I think you can send your documents to the Ditjen, you don't need to be present there ( I used jne for my sosbud to Kitas extension)...
Apparently the 18 months time window is true though the local immigration officers didn't say it when I showed my passport to them they just told me to extend my passport then applying for ITAP in January since my ITAS expiring in march.
Is the link available where I can check the 18 months window because the immigration websites says ' paspor yang masih berlaku' it doesn't mention any time period. Thanks.

Don't know about being a chef, but I have been operating our shop ( of course not a big one ) with my wife for the last two years. Till now I have no problem sitting behind the cash and selling products, it helps my language skill too because I have to talk to the customers, and in the beginning...
